I think Preview/edit REALLY needs to be the next priority. Currently when you edit OPs it, it’s a complete mess of html/bbcode injected between unformatted text. What should be line breaks and spaced lines, are put into an unending body of text, making it VERY hard to edit large posts or ones with styling and other content. In xenforo it worked optimally as:
Edit: All text retains outputted content as it appears once posted. No tags for certain elements like paragraph and line breaks are included. Text is properly formatted. :atk: tags show the image icon, no longer the actual tag notation. Features such as font family, font size, color, ordered/unordered list, etc… were available in the tool bar, too eliminate need to hand code the brackets.
Preview: Same options, but a fully rendered version as it would appear was created above it, allowing easy edits.
Right now I have to scan the thing like crazy looking for small parts to edit and keep saving out over and over because I can’t see what my preview is or if I broke all the unneeded [p][/p]s and etc, that I don’t need to really mess with. I would highly suggest mimicking Xenforo on 8wayrun or previous SRK and pretty much just append that same method with the few improvements of this current system. It was very easy before with my only complaint being certain line breaks wouldn’t cooperate, but now I try to edit Cap forums and I’m like ‘dafuq am i looking at’ wall of lorem ipsum + [] [/] EVERYWHERE, no spacing, no breaks, final destination. O_____O
