heh, politics— simple one, then: Whichever ideological/party “team” you’re on… they’re not going to be correct and say the perfect things 100% of the time on every damn thing. It’s silly to me when people are “hardcore democrat” or “hardcore republican”. Each side has its fair share of morons that say and do regrettable, stupid things on occasion. It seems like most people get set in one particular side (*often whichever one Mommy and Daddy told you to vote for) and vote that way for the rest of their lives, sadly. It’s blind allegiance to a particular team no matter what happens…which is rather depressing, imo.
*Baseball = it sucks. A group of guys stand around on a field for long periods of time…occasionally someone has to run.
*Futbol/soccer = sucks even worse. (of course that isn’t “unpopular” in America, but the rest of the world loves it for some silly reason) Get that low-scoring, giant-field, “nothing ever happens other than fans going crazy and violent” shit out of here.
*Bowling is funny to me, because you can be old and fat…and still win.
Winter Olympics = terrible… why would anyone other than hockey fans watch this shit?
Equilibrium isn’t very good. There was a nagging lack of feeling it took place within a larger world. But, the fight scenes were sick, and “enhance your calm” made it worthwhile, ultimately. It’s just not as good as it’s made out to be.
I never hear many people say it and I could not agree more. The best part about soccer is how the World Cup is everywhere and as soon as America loses people start saying, “So I can’t wait for football season.”
Baseball wouldn’t be as bad if the season was not sooooooooo long. It literally takes from April to late October/early November to get a champion, and don’t get me started on the length of the games.
I really, REALLY doubt these are unpopular opinions, especially in SRK. Now if you want an unpopular sports opinion, here’s one:
Of the Big 5 sports in the US (Baseball, Basketball, Football, Soccer, Hockey), baseball is the best and basketball is the worst.
In Basketball, the rules are far too open ended. In an attempt to remedy this, they use referees to arbitrate the open-ended parts of the rules. Thus it’s less about teams of athletes competing with strength, endurance, speed, and talent and more of a group of guys trying to trick the refs by exploiting the huge grey areas within the rules. Contrarily, baseball is very linear, and the rules are strict and specific. This means umpires have less open-ended rules to interpret on the fly, and thus there’s less room for human error and exploitation rules-wise and more time to watch athletes do what they do best.
Also, basketball is all action all the time. There’s very little room for build up and big swingy plays, and the only time tension is ever felt is during the last few minutes of the final quarter in a tight-point game. Needless to say that baseball is the opposite in that regard; less action, more room for big plays, and so more tension and impact felt with each play.

Equilibrium isn’t a good movie. Because it ignores things like how the kids get there, the few amount of people who aren’t white, how they choose who works what. Didn’t really dig deeper. Because there is no love/hate/anger/joy. How did putting everyone one drugs impact ambition. Entertainment not existing. All sorts of things. The obvious fact that the Father can feel. That being said, I like Gun katas, the uniform of the Clerics, and fight scenes.
Israel came to fruition when the UN handed down occupied Palestinian territory because the British didn’t want to deal with the political opposition the Jewish community leaders imposed. You can see why some think Israel is illegitimate; the West uses it as a strategical center piece in the middle east, that and they didn’t want an influx of immigrants.
You need to realize, that not every Goy is an Evangelical Protestant. We see through the thinly veiled attempts to cover up the genocide going on in Israel. Even Jews - inside and outside - abhor Israel’s actions against Palestinians.
I have. Israelis are not exclusively Jewish people. There are many Arab Israelis and they live in harmony with respect for each other. Israel is a free country, the Palestinian parts are not. Israelis don’t use kids as human shields, when they get aid they give it to the people or build that huge iron dome to protect the people instead of enriching themselves and letting the civilians live in shit.
If given the chance Israel would love to sign a treaty (that Palestinians will actually keep for once).
If given the chance Palestinians would love to burn everyone down for not agreeing with them.
