Unpopular TV/comic/anime/music/general media opinions -NO POLITIC TALK

Ohhh this sounds fun…

The 90s Marvel cartoons have far better plots that all modern Marvel movies (except the 2nd season of Hulk, that was trash).

Most game series starting on PS1 are better seen as asset collections than true videogames: the creativity was in working around a very poor hardware and selling loading times and crappy graphics as features rather than bugs (“it’s not loading forever for the next room, it is creating tension about what zombie may be behind the door”, “can’t see beyond two meters of the character because of the fog or the darkness - now that’s a eerie setting”). I for one, welcome the major changes in RE4 and after, screw the “it isn’t scary anymore”. That had its days counted when hardware stopped sucking in the PS2 and Xbox.

That said, the new consoles offer nothing but “better graphics” for the second time in a row. Putting the graphic ceiling so high just ups the cost of developing a game and forces it to be dumbed down to care for the biggest audience and keep profits. Can’t care a damn: like movies, the better the graphics the more retarded the content.

Peter Jackson’s movies take too damn long… it’s why I will never watch any of the Lord of the Rings movies a 2nd time, despite the fact that I enjoyed each of them that one time I watched. I love a good movie, sure…but not when it feels like I am sitting in the theater for 17 straight hours…hell naw, man… ever heard of this thing called “editing”, Pete? Maybe you should try it one day. I heard recently that a new King Kong movie is in the works…first thing on my mind was the hope that Peter J. will have absolutely nothing to do with it. That King Kong movie he did looked like shit anyway, with little to no redeeming value.

Farrah Fawcett was not the hottest Charlie’s Angel to me. Nah, the real deal was Jaclyn Smith. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000646/?ref_=tt_cl_t1 …and she held up perfectly fine over the years…probably still looks hot now. (quick search) Yep… I’d still pounce today without question.

read Batman/Spawn again as a sequel to ASBAR.

Are you talking about man without fear? cause thats like, only the origin story everyone keeps retelling

-John Carter was damn good movie that deserved a sequel.

-How does “Teen Mom” inspire other teenagers to get pregnant? I don’t watch it often, but I’ve seen enough to know those girls lives are shit. If any young girl wants to have a child because of the show, they weren’t that damn smart to begin with.

-Just because a fighting game is good or revered, doesn’t mean it should be skimping on content. A separate story mode with specialized content shouldn’t be hard at this point, certain fighter IPs have been around for decades churning out several iterations without even attempting to put in some decent effort on that front. Certain tweaks to the formula is a given, but it wouldn’t hurt to go the extra mile in terms of other/new game modes.

American super hero comics suck due to the fact they dont end, have a billion alternate universes, no one ever dies, and has different time lines.
I just think of it as creative cowardice.

Complains about no one ever dying in comics

has dragon ball avatar

Anime/manga could totally use more alternate canons. Adherence to a set canon beyond all else makes things suck. Hard.

Jet Set Radio Future is the most underrated game of all time.

Dragon ball > dragon ball z

I feel like dbz has aged well in SOME ways imo. There’s a few aspects about it that I wish a lot more shonen style animes implemented, for example:

-I never felt like there was too many MAIN characters that you had to keep track of. An anime like Bleach adds groups upon groups of characters, I literally have to google the names of 90% of characters that people talk about on the SRK Bleach thread.
-a lot of the main characters fell in love and had children in the middle of the series. It wouldn’t surprise me if Naruto and Hinata didn’t get together at the end of the series.
-Some of the fight scenes STILL look great to this day imo

It’s not the greatest show in the world but I do have a soft spot for it.

Israel is an illegitimate nation.

Let’s not go there in the same place we discuss which super hero is better than which waifu.

I thought this was the general unpopular opinion thread. Not everything revolves around traced DC comics and body pillows.

dragon ball shits on dragon ball z in every way possible. Not only are the fights better, the characters are charming and memorable.

the best transformers movie from Micheal Bay was 4, even thought the human plot was taken from Armageddon.

Dark Knight Rises could have been the best of the three Batman’s from Nolan.

Seeing the old Star Wars, they don’t hold up that well. They have cool elements to it, cool effects, but it’s so dated (still love the mythos). Vader’s fight vs Luke, in both Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi would be much better animated or with today’s choreography.

Rambo 4 shits on all the other Rambo movies.

Bleach’s issue is that it’s released weekly, and limited to only 16 pages per week.

Dexter’s ending wasn’t that bad, and made sense if you remembered how he felt about his sister, and the significance of his sister being his last victim.

Unless CNN is a part of that you’re out of line.

I would absolutely say CNN qualifies under General Media

So politics are fair game?

Either way

this is my favorite pic for SRK applies to pretty much everything

you know the whole israel thing is a media opinion

Well, I think CNN is funnier than Comedy Ce

p much.

Just don’t expect your political views to be taken seriously.
