The general popular stuff is catered to middke schoolers hence the action shonen series. There’s stuff thats more geared to that late teen-adult audience which is why there’s the seinen demographic for shit like Gantz and all that other stuff
But even then alot of stuff can draw in adults which is why there are adults who still read manga, superhero comics and etc
Ahh seinen is just basically more mature stuff catered to adult men. But that doesn’t mean its always serious stuff. But yeah you’re right if you enjoy then just enjoy
But oreimo is catered to adults/older audiences.
Do you think teenagers can afford 200 dollar bishoujo figures?
Do you think shows that air at 2 am on a weekday are catered to middle schoolers?
Kodomo no Jikan is way better, both as an anime/manga and as an object of hate for people who have never seen or read the material.
It does actually. If Samurai Champloo had the level of animation of the show that posted it would degrade the quality of the action and the emotional sequences towards the end of the series would have less of an impact to the facial expressions and body language not being on the level it needs to be to get the desired response. Hell, It would probably make me laugh instead.
Robin Williams was indeed a funny dude… but Mrs. Doubtfire was just “ok” at best to me. It was like they basically stretched a Saturday Night Live sketch into a whole movie.
Canceled too soon–>Intelligence, on CBS. Apparently I was only 1 of the 25 or so people watching it, I guess. Sure, that’s “the old folks’ channel”, but that show and concept* kicked ass on a consistent basis. (*concept–> a “special ops” guy has a highly advanced “chip” in his brain that has him connected to basically any kind of database, internet, access to all kinds of files and background info on everything… so, the dude can just look at someone and in his mind he sees their criminal history, educational background, medical records, ssn and various financial information, any aliases, etc. He could also mentally control various electronic devices…so he could breach any kind of electronic security measures, shut security cameras off, etc.)
Why the fuck are you guys taking Drelly seriously? This dude exposed his autism by over-analyzing ICP’s music a few pages back. That’s p much a clear indicator his opinions are invalid, misinformed, and flat out gay.
Oh I remember that show. I never really gave it a chance because of the concept. It’s pretty much the way you described it. The main character from what I can tell, pretty much has Superman Syndrom albeit to a lesser degree. And such a character more often than not will make for a boring story. If I’m wrong then please inform me because like I said I never really gave the show a chance. The concept just sounded boring to me.
Real talk, anime has ALWAYS been bad for the most part with a few exceptions here and there. I try going back to watch old shows then I realize how terrible they are once I get past the nostalgia. Just because I know a show is bad however, it doesn’t stop me from enjoying it, I will admit to liking certain crap shows.
Yea we know, you’re observations where garbage then and they are garbage now because they ignore what has always been the truth, acting like the way back machine takes him to a time that never actually existed, when Anime was “all good shit, and not pandering to a demographic, and only putting out quality shows” and just shows an absolute lack of knowledge on the subject you’re talking about.
Besides you sound retarded the way you make it seem like if you’re into anime that means you HAVE to watch everything. I like Anime, I’ve never fucking seen Oreimo. I don’t watch the majority of what comes out because the majority of it is fucking trash, just liek it has always been, it’s the same with Manga to, gotta filter out the majority of it because it’s fucking garbage with some good stuff here and there. Man this reminds me of talking about anything be it games, movies, anime, music, what have you, the majority of anything is fucking junk, it always has been and it always will be.
@crotchpuncha The point im making is in terms of first glance shit. Coming up anime I seen was toonami and adult swim shit. Which was DBZ, Inuyasha, a few gundams and etc.
Today if I was a new anime fan. The first shit exposed to me would be naruto, bleach, sao, attack on titan, and etc all of which are trash except early naruto. Im not denying that there’s trash anime from 8ps and 90s im saying in terms of what a casual anime fan would see generally wasn’t weak. But today you can bring up the fall season anime list right now and see that its all trash.
No different than if you say today’s music is wack. There’s still quality music today but to the general audience who are turning on the radio or watching mtv at 5am for music videos, they are gonna see trash. Was there trash in 90s? Yes but it wasn’t 90% of what was pumped out.
I should’ve specified thag im not talking about anime as a whole. Im talking about what is promoted and put in people’s faces if they turn on toonami today or go on crunchyroll. As I said im simply stating an observation and formed mt opinion. Key word opinion so idk why you niggas in here getting rowdy
