except the then 1 tournament in japan (ohh, sbo) that feature #r (and thus it’s qualifier), there will not be a single tournament in US (big ones)that will feature #r.

I didn’t mean that #R was released in the US. Hell, the regular GGXX hasn’t met an official release date yet either. I’m just saying that #Reload is supposed to be the official competitive standard (like how people gave up Double Impact [which was a decent game on its own] when Third Strike came out).
As much as I would LOVVLEZ to get #Reload, that’s not happening soon.

i think it’ll be good to keep ggxx if we can get 3-4 schools to join, but it doesn’t seem like much of a university battle if it’s just one school versus another…

Hey LB, I’m pretty sure this year’s EVO is going to feature GGXX#R instead of just plain-old GGXX. Checking the 2004 Evo threads, something is mentioned about the timing of the X-box release. I have no idea what this means.
In any event, we have more than enough interest at UCD to fill a 4-man team. And while GGXX might not be the most popular game, before you cut it I say: “Hey, what the hell is Tekken Tag doing in there?”
