I know we could get at least three players from the Bearcade to do Super Turbo (me and two other guys), and I can’t imagine it would be terribly hard to find a couple more. I don’t know that it would be any different at other schools, either.
But alright, if you’re set against having Super Turbo in there, I guess I’ll just have to settle for trying out for, and ultimately watching on the sidelines of, the Third Strike team. I should probably learn a non-Q character one of these days.
I normally would, but I know several Davids that are posting in this thread alone.
I’m not completely against having Super Turbo in the tournament. It’s just that anybody who participates in the University Battle as a whole has a limit of three games he can participate in. I know a lot of people are going to be focusing on the bigger games, which means Super Turbo probably wouldn’t have the best of the best representing each school. The game itself is fine but I wouldn’t want to spend time and money organizing a less-than first-rate tournament.
I’m only putting Tekken Tag and possibly Soul Calibur 2 because I know that very few people play both 2-D and 3-D fighting games at highly competitive levels.
KyoHiryu - it looks like the only way would be for you to take your midterm and then drive over? What time would you be available? Let me know.
Dang, well I should be able to make it out there by 4 or 5. If CvS2 is last game I think I should be fine. Bsically I should be able to make it if you make cvs2 the last game.

As for SC2 and TTT, we can probably scrounge up 3-4 players for teams. In fact, my twin brother who looks exactly like me but has moustache and wears a hat just enrolled at Cal, and I think he’ll play on both teams. For some reason though, he won’t enter a room unless I’m not there. Weirdo…
make the teams for sc2 at least 5.

The date is set for March 6th, 2004. I apologize to those who may go through some strife over this date. For KyoHiryu’s case - we will definitely be running CVS2 as the last game of the evening, as it is the main event.
Please speak up if you want GGXX in the University Battle. The release of #Reload seems to have killed any enthusiasm to play the original as fiercely.
The date for each school to submit its team is TBA. I’ll have the details on that soon.
