Will this have 2 button dash? I really liked it in Melty.
front page of meltybread for stream archive on yt
yay
I was watching the archive last night and really liked what I saw. This game looks sick.
I was skeptical as first but this game looks great ATM.
It’s like SFXT but without the part of being a bad slow boring game.
Yeah it’s cool cause its like a fighting game, but it isn’t made by capcom
I saw a loketest video of Merkava vs Orie and just read through this thread. Looks interesting. I haven’t actually played Melty Blood but I have copies of it and ReACT. Maybe I should dust them off?
I like Orie, Linne and the stunning use of English.

yes. yes u should
AACC or bust.
As someone who hates the term “anime game”, it pains me to say this…
This game looks anime as fuck, yo.
as does sf1 and 2, where everybody looks like hokuto no ken characters. I don’t find it annoying, it’s just a art style.
I don’t mean art, I mean everything about this game.
Even the rounds.
They’re not even called rounds, they do that shit where it’s a bunch of psuedo deep looking gibberish all over the screen and it’s like “Cut your own path, right hilt of the blade, SHATTER!”
Not that I don’t like it, I love it, but damn, if someone came over to me and said “that’s anime”, I couldn’t even argue like I try to with other games.
Even the way Linne poses (Looking pretty Ryogi, I must say) in the character select is anime.
We got a PC/console release date yet?
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
pretty pretty
is 9/20 pc / console or arcade?
Arcade, as far as we know
Awesome.
Now let’s guess what they’ll release it on a year from now on, right before they decide to patch the arcade version.
Hopefully they will be more aware of their international player base now, and would release the game on this side of the ocean
I’m going to guess this post 09’ franchise is going to be more “worldwide console friendly”, in the same way GG wasn’t pushed to be released outside of Japan (GGXXS etc.) but BB got a NA publisher from day 1.
And the best thing is that it takes a totally different style from MB so it won’t feel “inferior” to it.
I really REALLY hope so.
I don’t think they’ve ever had a global presence in mind but perhaps this will be their venture.
As an original IP it doesn’t have any potential licensing problems with an international release like Melty Blood.
At the same time it’s French Bread, they come from a background where worrying about even the Japanese mass market is a stretch.
