Yeah, I got that today played someone with 2 bars and it felt lagless, after that game, played another person with full green, and it lag like ****
I get that shit all the time! I play a full green player and ingame it lags like slug shit. After the game he shows up as 1 red. Fuck you Capcom, you can make fighting games but everything else you suck ass shit.
Its nice to know that I’m not the only one experiencing this.
Yeah, I get some laggy connections too sometimes. I’ve started to just avoid anyone with 2 bars or less but even then there are still some lag issues.
When I first heard of championship mode coming out and that there were going to allow replays, like a fool, I thought:
“Sweet, now I can save however many replays of good online and local matches I have!”
I literally geeked out. How wrong I was :wasted:. Am I the only one who thinks only allowing one replay per G rank is lame? I love this game, but when it comes to features outside of the actual combat soo many things just seem half done. I am not that adept at programming and game design to truly understand what really got them (Capcom) to make some of the decision that they made but it just seems like if they spent like 30 more minutes really fleshing out some of their existing features it would be leagues better than what we have right now.
My online formula when searching for quick matches has always been:
Is it a lobby?
Does this person have at least 3 bars?
Sadly after spending like 10 minutes of singing along with that goddamn song and seeing “Unable to play”, I begin to betray my own principles:sad:.
Edit:
Also I think it would be cool to play against PC and PS3 users. Just sayin is all.
despite a full green bar they could be running the game at variable fps and screw you over every time they slow down. why the hell is variable fps an option anyway?
Replays are saved by saving the inputs of the players and played back using the game system. Think of it as one of those self playing pianos. The game records your inputs and saves them. Then when you watch the replay, it just plays both inputs as if you were playing. The only thing that should vary is the win taunts at the end of rounds.
There is no excuse for not being able to save replays locally. The code is already implemented and the files must be smaller than 1 megabyte each. I really don’t know what capcom is thinking nowadays.
Why would anyone want a fucking lobby system anyway? To watch some random dudes playing online? If you have problems finding a lagless game with just one person, imagine finding a lagless lobby. Lobbies are just a darn waste of time. If I wanna watch some ppl playing I can do that on SF Dojo.
it’ll be for people who have friends that want to watch other friends fight.
agreed…i love the thrill of fighting with people watching. That’s what made arcades so much fun as a kid. You make a mistake, and you hear it from the crowd. You pull off something amazing, and it’s like the fourth of july (oooo…ahhhh…WTF!!!). The original SFII for XBLA was great for having quarters modes. If you win, you’d keep fighting. Lose, and you had to wait your turn. It was great for getting a bunch of friends together while all playing SF together.
One thing I have noticed is that when you try to join Fight Request matches, sometimes it says you can’t join, and yet if you try again in a few seconds, it works. My guess is that since when I have Fight Requests on, I never get requests in those moments between winning a match, and waiting for the next one to load, that perhaps the game can only accept matches during the fights or during the load screen. Not when you have won and it’s showing your score.
I fucking LOATHE when you try quick match and see a dude with 4/5 connection, and you’re like YAY and you pick him, and its’ UNABLE TO PLAY, then you refresh, and you see a 4/5 bar again and pick him, only to realize it’s the same guy, and you’ve done it 3 or 4 times in row, and the only other 2 people are in mexico
If they can’t even get the one on one right what makes u think lobbies would be any better.
One can just hope…
I really dont understand how i can get bad connection after bad connection i even have chenged to wired UGHHHH im soooo annoyed
I think it would be cool if you could have multiple battles within the same lobby. So if there were 6 of you guys, you could have 3 matches come from the same lobby. Would save time instead of having to constantly invite and leave lobbies just to do like a round-robin and fight all your friends.
Most annoying online game ever, I would give it a perfect 10 if not for the impossibility of finding opponents.
Is it me or is it almost impossible to find a player match now?
there are ome times in every single mode i just can’t find anyone, no one shows up one the list and i’ve been searching for like 15 minutes, I give up and create a match only to wait 5 min for someone to join. How many people actually play this game online using PSN at any given time, becaue i sware it feels like 6.
I know its been mentioned but if you go into the online menu looking for an online game you will just end up with frustration. Unless you are looking for a certain person just go to Arcade mode and beat on the cpu for a minute. Most of the time I don’t even make it into the arcade fight.
I know you can do that but its really annoying and the fights arn’t that frequent in G1. I actually started a new account so I can play G2 all over again lol, so much more matches there. I feel sorry for the guys I beat when I decide to play ranked with the new account, the first few people I played lost 128 each lol
Is there a way to reset yur GP or battle points without having to create a new account?
This game in PC is frustrating for me, because I waste a lot of the time just searching a match. I’m in G3-B and sometimes there is no one to play with in the player list, or the same Japanese/Korean player repeated every time, or the player I marked as Non-Preferred due to inevitable lag, or the non-joinable match. Sometimes 2 bars game is nice, and 4/5 bars are horribly lagged.
If there are lower amount of players in every step up in GP ranks, G2 looks like bad place to get someone to play with.
I’d like to have some selectable option to setup from what countries I’d like to find players; still can’t understand why this game keeps showing me (an European) 1-bar Asian players if just most matches with USA players (1-3 bars) are problematic.
I’d like to have the option to vote a quick end to the match if both players agree when there is too much lag in a ranked match that count the percent of disconnect; I have played matches that were so slow that 1 second of the game were 3 or 4 in real time.
My question is, what does it mean when it says ‘‘unable to play’’ does that mean im on that dudes avoid list? or I avoided him?
Or is it just some region stuff idk, I always wanted to know.
Online is slowly dying. I don’t know why capcom didn’t force people to either make rooms or join them, instead of u playing arcade mode to find matches like we’re in a real arcade which is stupid.
