Why fix this game and prevent players from buying “Street Fighter 4 Extra Turbo EX4 VS Mortal Kombat-DC-KOF”?
Nearly perfect game win gamer’s interest in buying a sequel, but not a fast sequel in less than 2-3 years or more, and business is about making money now, not in the long run.
I don’t like companies going the same route as Graphics card makers, one little extra step every six months.
The speed at the companies want money is less than gamers are willing to follow. I’m not looking at you Electronic Arts and your yearly sport sequels, instead of selling small updates with engine and character updates, you want to sell full games once a year, hahaha.
Other business take their time to make a sequel, like Blizzard and ID Software, and care about their game a lot. Recently Diablo 2 and Starcraft were patched, and both are games from past century! This two companies are examples of a good balance between “business wants all the money possible” and “gamers wants to feel the money is well spent (not thrown at window)”
just in case this hasn’t allready been said in this thread (i’m assuming it wasn’t since the entire last page was people questioning why this happens):
“Unable to Play. Search again?” is a message that has everything to do with fight request. basically their idiotic matchmaking system can’t join anyone in arcade fight request that has their game in a arcade match and paused, yet it wont exclude them in a search.
so if your one of those jackasses that goes into arcade fight request and then pauses the game to go make a sammich, take a dump, whatever. your giving unable to play messages to anyone and everyone that try’s to connect to you until you un-pause your game. what’s really annoying about this is that capcom figured out how to code it to exclude these fight req players that are paused because when your in fight req it never try’s to match you up with these people, or maybe it just does it in the backround. but really it wouldn’t be that hard to code in 1 extra bit in the fight req code to signal to people performing searches that you weren’t available for a match. 1 bit is all it would take, are they paused? the bit is a 1 and your search excludes them, if not it’s a 0 and they are included.
Sigh, Blizzard patched those games because they are strategy games, every strategy game has like 15 patches if it is halfway popular…it sucks a lot more in a game like Age of Empires when a civ is OP rather than Sagat having a good move…
