UMVC3 Zero changes UPDATED DECEMBER PATCH

From the UMvC3 Evo panel changelog, courtesy of Chindogg:
“zero can cancel moves to max buster. like if u don’t want to DP”

We can already cancel into buster so I’m not sure what this means…

Maybe DP can cancel into buster? If so Zero just became amazing.

I think maybe this means that buster cancels specials now like DP. If that is true that’s crazy and the combos are going to be out of control. Think about ABC DP+C LVL 3 buster, Lightning A, S, BBCS Super. That’s just a small example but if this is true then this explains why they removed hard KD. It also makes DP a really good antiair because you can combo off of it.

Not to mention, making it safe on block.

I guess but it’s basically already safe if you are using it as an antiair.

Honestly the best news to come from this would be if we can cancel the movement of hienkyaku into buster like we could in TvC.

I’m going to be extremely Excited if using Ryuenjin in the middle of a Combo is what it really means. I’m never dropping Zero.

Uh, I don’t think that it’s gonna be that big a deal for combo extensions (at this point I don’t see any places in Zero’s BnBs where you’d add more specials. We kinda already maxed out buster shots). But for mixups and resets it’ll be absolutely amazing. And for random hitconfirms as you said.

The return of ambiguous crossup level 3 buster?

If it can really cancel from specials in the air, then that would also mean…safe dive kicks.

Yes, you can cancel all special moves into buster, at least level 3 buster. This includes air moves, and it gives you back your air action. For example, I’m doing raikosen, buster, then a raikosen in a new direction. Hadangeki into buster should help him with projectile wars also. :slight_smile:

H sentsuizan goes farther forward, M version is the old one. Forgot to check the L one, probably the same.

Raikosen appears to be slower, air buster into raikosen seems inconsistent and sometimes doesn’t combo, missing completely.

Also, combos seem to have more hitstun decay, the opponent is teching in places where my combos usually don’t have techs inconsistently. I talked to rayzrburn and he says this might be a universal change.

If I find anything else I’ll let you know.

Sounds amaaazing. Have you tested other buster levels? This alone makes Zero stupidly incredible. Hopefully this stays in.

I’ve seen Zero’s do the buster -> raikousen combo in the comic con tournaments and it looked the same… Maybe it’s a hitstun thing? At least the bradygames guide BnB should still work since I’ve seen it work. Also your BnB’s suck so that might be why they don’t work. >_> Or maybe it’s because your use assists. Try more solo combos.

Can you cancel Hienkyaku into busters? Is it any slower? Does it let you do hienkyaku -> buster -> hienkyaku? Can you shoot multiple level 1 buster shots in the air (like 10?)

Can you cancel j.H into buster now? Without doing S and canceling it’s startup i mean, just straight up j.H to buster.

This massive buff IMO. I’m already drooling thinking about the possibilities.

Zero is looking as cheap as ever. You have me wondering about the universal hitstun decay thing, did it increase on all the character? That would be interesting to find out.

What you can cancel any special into Lvl3 Buster… that just sounds insane… this includes Teleports and Hadangekis?.. also is it still possible to do multiple lvl 1 busters in the air?

yes you can throw FB’s and then toss a level 3 buster. its so cheap but zero is amazing in UMVC i didn’t have any issues with doing buster into lightning dive. Canceling M lightning into buster is an amazing cross up. wish i could have tested more but he definitely has enough tools to get the job done. and he is definitely a stronger character IMO

I’m fairly sure it did. Same thing reported on Viper and Chris forums.

Also think I remember reading somewhere they want to make combos shorter overall. Could be the reason.

That’s a great change I think. Damage was too high in this game IMO.
