D Loop is the best DHC glitch ender in the entire game. Dunno how you want to step that up
The fact that it’s only used during DHC glitch is pretty much why. It’s just a nice easy ender to the glitch. Long as he still has the j.H loop and lightning loop people will be fine.
Since I’m going to evo, is there anything you guys want me to test? I’m definitely gonna be using Zero and Strider a lot so ideas / requests for any of them would be good.
Think I might try out Firebrand too, he looks to be a lot of fun. Haven’t thought about how useful to zero he might be though.
I think the biggest things to test are just whether current BnB’s still work (shippuga loop, darkdeath loop) and if the lightning loop still works.
Check if he can still spam level 1 buster shots in the air, if there’s a limit or anything. Also if you get solo time, try out the assist combos that never work consistently that we talked about.
But if it works don’t show it off. That’s our alien technology >_>
I doubt I’ll drop him as I’ve been using zero extensively since day one. Just bums me out that I can’t do any of the busted shit that the hard knock down buster shot made possible anymore. Like, full screen hit confirms to OTG. Buster - hienkyaku - rekohha etc. I’ve actually ended more matches doing this than any other way.
Just realized… the stations for MVC3 are going to be on stick… I play pad so I won’t be able to test the lightning loop… fuck. I’ll check the other stuff out too though assuming the awkwardness of controls doesn’t result in me getting ass raped the entire time.
Also I agree about the level 3 buster match end… that’s kinda how I got rid of Tron and Haggar… not sure what to do about them now.
somebody should check if zero’s scaling cap is the same. that 20% cap is so broken when you have 40+hits combos before super. most spammable normals and the highest damage combo (lightning loops) in the game let’s go best in umvc3
Nerfing his best move is a big deal, I hope they improved some aspects. IMO he was pretty well balanced in vanilla, a paper cannon with great offensive tools and mobility. I can understand reducing some of his hitbox priority, but he should get a health buff if they’re hurting his offense. If what I understand is correct, the new scaling really helps Zero, as outside of lightning loop the scaling and Zero’s overall damage in vanilla was pretty average.
Ill try to Test Zero stuff at Evo, Ill try the D loop, ride the lightning ( I fucking mad hate this combo though… ) and his 2C loops.
I have no problem with them doing tweaking on Zero so long as they don’t nerf the lightning loop, jump H, or the air loop. D-Loop, as has been said, was used primarily as a DHC glitch ender, and with that gone I don’t really see the utility.

Its gonna be hard to test because so many people will want to play but Ill do my best.
As has already been said, I too also hope that the lightning loop is not removed, because now that buster into Rekkoha doesn’t work Zero’s damage output is going down if he can’t lightning loop either.
The hard knockdown on buster was so handy for beating out a lot of stuff I will miss it greatly.
I’ll be at Evo as well, I don’t know how much I’ll play but I’ll document what feels different for Zero cause the current changes to my entire team is really making me wonder how the game will be play when Ultimate will be released.
As long as he still has his frames, his hitboxes, his hella priority Buster and his lightning loops, he’ll be fine
I’m with this guy. Zero get any colors besides Zero/X/Bass/Axel? I think Virus or Solo zero would be kinda neat. even Megaman Zero’s Zero would be cool to see.
I thought color 4 was Megaman Zero
Actually… now that I think of it. Could ACTUAL megaman x be a pallete swap for Zero too? I mean In X6 he Did have Zero’s sword…
