All of Magneto’s normals are actually unsafe and punishable on block except his st:l:, cr:l:. That being said his cr:l: is stupid good for how strong his ground throw game is, 6f chainable crL that’s +1 on block for free tick throw or frame trap setups(Trish/Storm have a better crL but they don’t have his ground throw game). If they remove his lights from chaining it means he has to rely on certain assists to maintain his pressure or keep him safe. There is nothing wrong with that but it’ll be a serious nerf to the character and his team composition capabilities.

Anyone nerfing Doom is completely wrong. I’m glad he got footdive to separate himself from the other 8way dash characters, as he is worse on them point wise in every other way except hit confirms and damage output along with throw games. Nerfing Missiles that drastically is not a good idea. Maybe buff characters that struggle with it or nerf those who abuse it.

I’ll stand by this, only the lower tiers need buffs, mid tiers need slight buffs but nothing too major. Assists for some characters need buffs. Some characters need mild nerfs but nothing too drastic as was done to Vanilla Dante (Viper/Vergil/Zero/Morrigan).

Ammy now gets 10-way Airdashes, Trish with 14 airway dashes, we get H&H as a tournament standard, 2 button lightning loops and Wesker with 8 way airdashes!

That being said having H&H to go retard with in casuals will be very fun considering the amount of stupid shit you can do on it.

What if they just made Morrigan lose Astral Vision when she gets hit? She could keep doing her thing, but the reward for getting in on her would be much greater.

There are a lot of approaches in this thread aimed at making Morrigan more ‘fair’, all of them sound moderate ~ harsh, and as much as I hate fighting against Morrigan I do love the way Morri/Doom invalidates all of the scumyness and randomness that this game has in it and I wouldn’t want to see Morrigan eat the nerf hammer for it. Chris G is the only consistent player right now because of it, everyone else is interchangeable for top 8 or not, which is a shame because genuinely amazing and far faster more creative players like Yipes and Justin should be shining if they weren’t getting peaced out by the game instead of the competition.

I think in general, if everyone agrees that Morri/Doom is defeatable then I think the smart thing for Capcom to do in terms of balancing is by giving the player more chances to weather the storm. In other words; less overall damage from soul fists. I mean we’ve all eaten a bad raw tag into astral juggle and all of a sudden 500~600k can be gone depending on how bad you got caught in the crossfire. So significantly less chip/damage and possibly less meter gain (just a tiny adjustment) is pretty fair…

Oh and nerf her jumping S, that thing owns everything for free even when you do get in, I’d take a j.S nerf anyday over anything done to astral vision. Fuck jumping S!

Interesting idea I had for Vergil: Make Spiral Sword lose to all projectiles/normals that eat projectiles and make them disappear on block. This way Vergil can keep all his Spiral Sword combos and mix-ups when he’s up close but he can’t put you in 15 seconds blockstun from one teleport and he doesn’t beat almost every single projectile hyper.

That’s a bit harsh, if you ask me.

So here’s a system change that I don’t think I’ve seen suggested: make Ranked matches 2 out of 3.

You can’t completely eliminate the lag and online randomness that you’ll occasionally run into, but making Ranked 2/3 could even things out a little bit and makie it harder for people to win matches through luck or gimmicks that you can only get away with in a one-off environment. If nothing else, online would at least be a little more helpful as practice but you’d get more experience to adapting in a second match. Just seems like the whole thing would be more fun and useful if the randomness could be cut down. I’m tempted to say 3/5 but that might be a little much for online.

Stop playing ranked. Player matches is where it’s at.

Offline and as far away from S-tier Captain America/Frank/Hulk as possible is where its at.
