The problem is how much work you have to do without resets. Her soul fist loops are no walk in the park and she can’t TOD unless you have less than 950k health. Having to think about what moves you should do to maximize damage is a big fault against her already. Not that she needs a damage boost real bad. Her fireballs pack some punch and she can be plenty scary with meter and chip strategies.

Execution is not factor on rather or not a character can deal damage.

…Unless we’re talking about doing BB Hood’s infinite.

As for TOD’s with in this case since he bought me up, Morrigan touching anyone can lead to 975k-1.2 mil with the right DHC’s and/or assist.

Are you talking about Shadow servant which I mentioned? Are you talking about blowing XF just to combo off an OTG hyper when tons of characters can get a free followup without blowing the most important reserve tool in the game?

Shadow servant is nice, but it’s not something to write home about when it comes to it’s OTG properties. Having a normal or special OTG move is a big part of being a really really good character. Not having one makes it harder to have that high spot, but it doesn’t mean that it’s impossible.

With DHC into Shadow servant almost anyone with a install super can benefit greatly from her doing a command grab/air grab into it. As with XF cancel, anyone getting hit with Shadow servant with XF 2/3 is getting killed.

I never said she was bad, but I’m not going to say that she is high tier just yet. She can wreck teams now in the right hands though. The problem is that her rushdown is not certifiably strong like her zoning is and rushdown is essential in Mahvel no matter how many times Niitsuma and his team try to balance the game towards zoning styles. I’ll say that she has the potential for high tier in Ultimate with time. I guess we’ll find out in a few more months as Morrigan players continue to refine their close up game alongside her strong zoning.

Rather or not she is consider high tier, top tier or whatever isn’t that much of a concern to me but I do want to comment on her rushdown game.

1. Her j.L, active in 4 frame and has one of the best sword normal hitbox you gonna get out of a air move. That move alone allow her to go air to air with some of the best in the game.

2. Flight/flight cancel, now I think it’s more then obvious how much zoning game benefits from it but let’s get offensive. For starters any form of pressure she’s doing up close and personal she can make positive with fireball flight cancel or proper assist not to mention flight activation neutralizes pushblock. From a mid range area she can hold down other character with fireballs as well as offer a safe means of getting an assist without it being in imminent danger (outside of hypers of course). She also capable of using the flight > ziz zag > falling j.S/j.H/flight cancel game that Dorm is good at, combine that with a lockdown assist and you got several attempt as a high/low game that ends at being neutral at worse.

3. My finally point is that her rushdown game is mostly done at normal jump height, while most of the cast is forced to deal with the hazards of beam assist/tatsu plus teleport mix up she only forced to deal with the worst of them (Jam session/Vajra/Missile) and the rare Spencer grapple. Even from a ground perceptive her luck of having such a low couching hurtbox prevents the same beam assists with the added bonus of avoiding some of the cast aerial attack like Dante j.M/j.S and Wolverine/Trish’s divekick doesn’t have that awkward cross up on her.

Note: Her aerial movement game is hardly effected by the lost of the ability to block during air dash except for a few full screen hypers and Mag’s beam but then again who’s isn’t.

The stats change for character usage mainly by adding Deadpool, Zero (+3) and Haggar. Upping Vergil usage to 3rd most used character at 7 (Wolverine moves up to 8). Dante usage goes up +4. Both Vergil and Dante gain tournament winning status. Wesker has achieved a “hat trick” as Dark Wesker.

Lol I really hadn’t plan on coming back here except I got spammed by alerts. Btw for people complaining about dark felicia I actually use to fight it in vanilla on regular basis and have in tournie blocked an entire lvl 3 xfactor felicia with kitty helper. Couple hints for you, if felicia attempts constant attacks well time advance gaurds will give you the window to block helper, if they are pausing then chick block, you won’t get high because of helper but it escapes the unblockable. Also realize you can change the timing of when kitty helper hits by standing and crouching.

Also btw punishing moves does not mean you block and then hit back, there are other methods like super on reaction jump on reaction then movement downward to punish etc. In regards to c. viper if you advance guard a special when it hits she can’t hit you with a low so just block high. Also since your standing she has a much harder time cross up. Sure she has triangle jump pressure but that’s a regular thing in marvel so…

Also I’ve played some really really good jill’s out there back in vanilla and she really isn’t good. Maybe you don’t think she is bottom 5 but she is bad, her lack of unsafe maneuverability and priority really hurt her.

Also in regards to PW he really isn’t that bad if he has meter. That level one super is so good people just don’t know. Ya he is still bad but I wouldn’t put him at bottom 5 since he can actually get some good stuff going with meter. He can beat keepaway pretty reliable by using his evidence and meter and a misstimed rushdown can lead to a low/overhead mixup hidden by the shield.

Btw posting 1 video of someone doing really well with a character does not make a good case. I’ve bodied more than my fair share of players, some of them well known players with shuma in vanilla but that by no means made shuma good. Now i really do plan to abandon this thread but I’m always tempted to read my alerts so if you want to give me feedback I will read it though I’ll unlikely respond.

How is Iron Man above Vergil when Vergil has had two appearances in top 8… one at top 4 and one at top 8 compared to IM only getting 1? Including FFIV, Vergil’s stats rise to Magneto’s S tier level.

Ok. I have to give props to the TC for the tier list because it is well constructed. However i strongly say (and i hope we don’t go back to a debate on this) the Phoenix Wright she be in a tier on his own at the very bottom. He is an all around gimmick character and i have don’t understand he can even share the same tier list with Tron or even Hsien. The C tier.

PW has the worst normals and attack data in the game, this makes him the worst at close combat.
His Zoning and Projectiles (no matter what mode) are inferior to allot of character including Arthur.
He can’t be consistent due to being based on luck. You can have all the skills you claim to have but you can’t control the luck rate of getting good evidence unless your opponent is that nice or too inexperienced.

I don’t hate the character, i use him allot to because he is one of my favorite VG characters but he is a gimmick character. Sorry to those who will find offense to this post.

its just that he can kill of any connect, almost no character can do that. and his 50/50’s are so easy. Theres a reason you are seeing more and more Haggar on point players popping up and beating people. Bum is great, but his team is far from optimized for Haggar. On point with the right assist he has probably the best match up chart in the game imo.

I dunno man. Haggar gets maximized damage from relaunches and builds a crap load of meter and have you seen how much ABSURD damage he gets with the THCs?

The only more Optimization I can see are THCs that involve floaty state enders like Rocket Racoon’s big ass Chaingun and Dante’s Million Dollars. So he can get another hit or two afterwards or a reset if they somehow survive.

Still waiting for my epic story mode where your single character has to traverse through the world, rescuing characters, buffing them, adding them to your team and finally defeating uber god broken tier galactus. All while epic cinematic cutscenes detail me in the situation.

Only if I get to see Haggar piledrive the shit out of Galactus.
