im not a jill player but …i think jill is pretty good but not like OMG SO BROKEN good…she has some major flaws like low health and akward normals/ combos that are weird to comfrim into. however god damn that cross up hyper that a safe ass DHC >_>

This is probably my biggest problem. I keep forgetting the majority of the time I use her is online where even if I confirm the hit correctly, pretty much will never get my max damage combos I have been practicing :(.
I can never get my fuzzy guards set ups correctly either. A lot of the times I just get pushblocked because you know Jill is coming down with an attack so it is an easy push block. Do you ever empty jump?
I wish I could give her 3 assists… an OTG, horizontal, and Jam Session lol.
Do you feel like she has any really harsh matchups? Trish to me is the biggest pain… I feel like I almost have to have jam session for that one. Magneto, Dorm (the teleporty+assist J. S type… screw you Soviet LOL) , and Dante with his swords is pretty annoying too.
Shes leaning toward unblockable for one, and she also has an invincible hyper and dat semi invincible somersault that everyone gets frame trapped by. Feral crouch dashes also lower her hurtbox, so it’s nice for getting in. Basically, once jill gets in dat ass, she becomes incredibly hard to predict and block and has a command grab, which makes machine gun spray really suitable because it lets her get in for free. Her level 3 will also one day be tapped.
I don’t know about nonfunctional online. Play against srk username: nonsexualrice… his Jill is pretty god damn amazing for playing her online.
Tron does NOTHING better than Thor besides.

Super jumpers are the worst and people that can beat her normals. Jills normals are pretty good, but when your up against a character that can beat them it sucks. Personally, i just use Jam Session as a catch all. Always throw them in the corner (remember her 623B) and learn your setups for post Fallen Prey mixups.
I tend to try to stick to the ground with Jill personally.
Also, if they have Zero, good luck… Zero is easily Jills worst matchup.
I’ve got a list of things I want to make a video about, Jills Feral stance and teleports are one of them. Though I wasn’t gonna get into setups much as those are team specific.
Lol so I just played another player match and tried to stay on the ground the entire time with jill and really spammed her teleport and I can already had way more success than I did before. I can see where I was playing her really wrong now.
I also didnt know raw somersaults were pretty good.
Summersault has invincibility man. So many good uses.
TL;DR Question: Why is Thor good, other than easy average damage bnbs and ok resets?
Tron’s pressure with assists is way more threatening from what I’ve seen from any Thor player, she can actually keep you locked down while making you guess multiple times safely. The reason is because she’s less susceptible to advancing guard because she has good built in frame traps with her J.A, J.B. and J.A. land Cr.A. and drill to make your assist safe and start real pressure, whenever Thor attacks from the air it’s a predictable J.L. J.H. or J.S., it seems like the hitboxes are worse than Trons and it seems easy to advancing guard. J.B. also air to airs better than his normals and lead to a combo off hit confrim to drill even off jump back J.B. which is really nice. She can also get a combo from any hit of jam session at any height, which is very important in her game. I don’t know if Thor can convert hits from random air heights. Thor seems to lose to upback more than Tron and it seems like all he can do is hunt for an air command grab and he doesn’t have any way to frame trap you to stop you from just jumping out. Thor does have some good stuff especially now, but I’m not sure how good it is. I’ve only ever played against two good Thors and that was vanilla, I don’t have the luxury of knowing from experience and I haven’t seen any good Thor play in ultimate, He has a better zoning game for whatever that’s worth, easier time of getting through projectiles thanks to mighty strike, easier damage, 50k more health, and a scary air to air command throw. I’m interested in actually seeing some good Thor ultimate footage if anyone has some or if anyone wants to enlighten me on the finer points of this character, I’ve tried playing him a bit but he still doesn’t seem very good and he isn’t really even fun for me to play as. They seem like the play somewhat similarly and are both around the same level of bad but I don’t really know, people I’ve talked to seem to just assume Thor is mid tier because he has an easy bnb and resets.
i just want to kinda bring up the division of the C tier list thing again for a sec and get this off my chest since to my knowledge no one said this:
imo if anything should help eventually divide it (should it ever get divided), it’s tournament observations. Someone mentioned something about the lack of showings which…is true, but they still come about. There isn’t a single character in this game which I haven’t seen in tourney play. Just to make sure I’m not being misunderstood, no I don’t think that tournament data should be used as hard evidence, but I do think they should be used as a reference - especially for uncertainties (such as that Tron vs PW debate/whole C tier list).
Unless this is supposed to be a completely theory based tier list then idk I guess I just feel like there’s a total disregard for what’s actually done out there that it almost defeats the purpose of anyone telling a C-tier character defender to “go prove their character’s worth at a tournament”; people still give Hsien-Ko mad crap and put her in her own damned tier even though she has one of the best tournament performances of all the lower tier characters.

One thing that i completely agree with you is that tier list should first see characters as individual potential.
On the other hand, C.Viper B tier? No, no no no, nope. I know that dont make a very good case, but…,no, shes just to good.
And why is Doctor Strange A tier, alongside Wesker? Sure he has the best LV1 in the game, but other than that i see him lacking. Or maybe you know something i dont know.

How is Morrigan B tier in any way? She beats a ton of strong characters on point and only has difficulty with a few. I would challenge that most people use Morrigan wrong, she’s a point character not an assist. Notable difficulties, Vajra assist, vertical assists, and characters that can cut through double-fireball (which is very few. Like… hawkeye, zero, viper… some other zoners that aren’t very good). Otherwise, she’ll be a big problem. Can’t see her lower than A tier.
Bad hit confirms? Where does this come from. You hit them, and YOU confirm. Bad normals? Not so much j.S is like a frying pan. What large character can’t be zoned? Who’s not susceptible to keepaway without a teleport? Being air thrown isn’t the characters weakness, it’s your approach that’s getting you thrown. Mobility? Least she has an air dash that’s sped up when you use a move during it. (don’t use jumping H and you can’t block anyway during it)
You know whats a decent tactic in this game? Air dashing into normal so you are so close to the ground nothing comes out into throw or low.
Cover your drill with a projectile, apply pressure, score a hit and learn your combos. (She has them and they hurt.)
