… You do realize unless you do the haphazard of standing in the shield Strange or Hawkeye will blow you up? As will MODOK. As will Zero. As will Dormmammu. Hell Arthur jumping with crossbows and if you stand in the shield, the zoner will not mind throwing out a projectile hyper to hit you and on top of that they can start zoning before you set up the shield.
Trying to throw several of the other characters leads you to getting OS into a J.H or there own airthrow.
He has an issue up front against chars with fast projectiles, airdashes and teleports. Which majority of the upper tier characters possess. Hsien Ko users will DHC into her and hardtag her out majority of the time. This means against certain teams which run a char who could rushdown or zone, they will use Morrigan to get up to two meters and DHC into Ko and then hardtag her out as soon as possible which then lead you to dealing with a rushdown Chris with the giant pendulum of death swinging.
And that is your plan not factoring in your assists which your opponent will usually know what assists Wright runs. Missiles and some other assist to buy time. Which means the opponent knows what team to expect and know to kill off your other two characters and save your Wright for last without TA mode.
Full update of my old tier list, characters in each tier are not ordered from best to worst or any other way, the only purpose of the letters is to signify a divide between tiers, if you want to drop everything down a letter because you don’t think any character should be S tier I don’t care.

The only character I have trouble tiering is Hsien Ko because she is Phoenix Wright level terrible while on point but with an S tier assist for a meter.
Given some of the opinions being tossed around in this thread I’m think that “People” might be on to something.
We don’t. That said, do you really want to apply this standard across the board? As in if you haven’t put in time with X character then your opinion on that character is invalid. That seems kind of stupid. I for one am fairly confident in my powers of observation such that when I see a Viper FADC tutorial video and then see Marlin pull that out in a real match I can, without having ever actually played her, go “Wow, this character is dumb”. Similarly on the other end of the spectrum would be watching how hard LL.ND has to work not even to kill people with Hsien-Ko but to just hitconfirm with her to make me think: “Yup, that character is ass and gold assist isn’t even that good”.
…And now we’ve come full circle to the point where arguments are “THEORY FIGHTING” (despite the fact that I fucking play Wright and am outlying my own strategies that work for me) and blatant trolling (Cisco and xesaie). As I said, it’s completely counterproductive that no one is willing to even remotely consider a character and have a legitimate discussion about them, instead they rely on arguments that really have nothing to do with anything and call it good. I give it 2 pages before people are back to “ZERO IS BROKEN”/“WESKER IS BROKEN” talk that dominated over 250 pages of the last thread.
I disagree. Tron has the funky hitbox, high damage and high health which go a long way. Yes, Tron is a char who you have to test in the lab against due to her hitbox.
Ko, has some options and good DHC options as well as golden armored assist which works for both rushdown and keepaway/zoning teams. So her utility as a team player by itself helps her more so than Wright. I currently cannot see a reason to play Wright in a competitive nature outside of fanbase.
I think you’re taking this personally as if you ARE Phoenix Wright. Dude, the guy is playable, but he isn’t some B tier character or something. He’s bottom 5 at the very least. You can make him work though. LLND makes Hsien-Ko work, right?

The basic problem is that you have an unreasonably aggressive attitude and your arguments (except the one that you admitted yourself isn’t true anymore) are absolutely without any level of meaningful detail.
The first bit makes people tend to write you off already, and the second bit makes your opinions worth less than the time it took you to type them out.
If you ask FlyingVe or Chrisis why Viper is good, they can give you an explanation in exquisite detail. That level of detail or real showable results should be the bare minimum level of argument if you actually want to change peoples opinions.
You are. It’s not the assist that makes the character broke, it’s the characters ability to use the assist that makes him broke. There IS a difference. Strider’s assist is always godlike, for any character. Dante, Doom, Wesker, etc. get an extra benefit from it though because of self-otg abilities. Make sense? Now that’s just another rudimentary example. Those characters are great without Strider.
To what you said before (which I missed): I disagree. Wright in IM is on their level, but CM Wright can at least play a good zoning game (which neither can do) and TM Wright is amazing if you consider him as more than “MUST GET LEVEL 3 OFF”. H-Ko offers literally nothing on point: she can’t zone and she can’t get a confirm to save her life. Tron is a giant moving target that does ass for damage and whose only redeeming value is her high health. For reference, I know both characters pretty well (H-Ko is my 6th~ most used at around 300 uses in Ultimate and 500 in Vanilla, Tron is my most used in both games at around 1300 in Ultimate and somewhere around 4000 in Vanilla) and neither has any value.
Am I taking things personally? Maybe. But it’s pretty frustrating when I’m trying to make legitimate arguments that nearly everyone outright ignores and am basically spat on as a rebuttal.
