I strongly feel that the S tier should be 10 characters.
I respect the opinions of the rest but is Zero, Wesker… that much of a mile ahead of the rest believed in the top 10? Each of the characters who are popularly nominated all give a great significance to teams. It’s just not like MVC2 anymore with the Gods being on a solo bracket due to their overall needs for success that was miles ahead of the top tier below them. A god was needed in a team during MVC2, same is not said with Zero and Wesker.
Frankly I believe noone should be S tier, but a whole lot of A tiers. S tier should be a small place where say Vanilla Pheonix belongs. Noone deserves S in UMVC3.
I think that’s very true. I think no character, not even Viper or Zero, are so far away from anybody from S to A tier. You can start seeing a more major difference from B Tier, but it’s not as huge as God Tier to High Tier was (yet).
What’s the point of an S tier with 10 characters? There only needs to be the absolute dominant shit there. The only things I see that are absolutely dominating are the slowly emerging Zero and the already there Wesker. Everything after that is, well, not.

I fuck it up all of the time, but it’s really much easier than people think, and it allows Deadpool to do some more damage in his combos. I don’t think Deadpool is a monster in the damage department, anyway, so being able to combo after Quick Work helps.
Yo I just threw up in my own mouth. That was gross. Starts with a meter neutral no x-factor full life TOD on Haggar?
This game looks so much different when one player can hit real combos and the other can’t. It looks literally unwinnable for the other guy.

i don’t know why it seems odd to me now but akuma seems really high to me
i’m not saying he doesn’t deserve to be but a lot of people talk about having good matchups
i know nothing about akuma, does he actually have good matchup against the rest of the cast?

Missing Firebrand and 1 other character (counted 48 but Firebrand is the only one I noticed missing right away).
I think Akuma is high becausehe has:
- Decent Overhead
- Good mobility
- Hits hard
- Air Fireball covers the all important 45 degree angle
- Beam is a threat
- Dive kick and high priority tatsu
The only negatives about this dude is low health and short limbs. I’d say his tier placement is accurate because all of the characters in the higher tiers have better ways of opening people up.
Averaging most people’s Phoenix views with how many people you have in A+ tier, I think she fits in at the bottom of your second tier. If this is a general consensus tier list, I think she should be higher. People have her suprisingly up there.
Side note/Off topic/retarded question im too lazy to google: What’s the difference between scout, lord, judge, ranger, and the other one online? I thought there was only lord and ranger until I ran into a judge.
I think Viper should be listed as “(Theory) Viper”, and there should be an asterisk (*) explaining: SRK Forums only.
Also Theory Viper shouldn’t be S-Tier, she should be obviously be Chuck Norris-tier, considering how much these forums have overrated her since week 1 in Vanilla.
