The character order is ok to me, it’s the just the brackets that i can’t give a hand shake. I don’t agree with brackets such as +, nuetrals, and -… i just think it’s an unnecessary bracket that’s striking to be for the sake of generosity than accurate.
But… it is unappealing to the eye and gives a cluttered feel.
But yeah, the tiers are really close…
Why most are in B/A/S. Only chars who to me are really unviable outside of the bad matchups with the right assists are Wright and Hsien even though her golden armor is great but just takes having to use her on point a little so pretty much DHC into and hard tag in your real char.
Wright… the random factor kills him.

I agree. I only used SA+ABCD because it was the format agreed upon in the OP.
You can’t talk about how low everyone places Hawkeye, only to have him in tier 2 or 3 like everyone else.

I specifically said he falls into the upper A or lower S. I would of done the SABC…F if not for the crowded feel.
Zero had plenty tournament results in Vanilla (including a big major and the most rape win at a local I’ve ever seen) and he effectively got buffed minus losing Tron assist so I see that changing for Zero eventually. Viper is still kinda theory land but even she won a major in Vanilla.
The fact that Viscant won a local Box Arena tournament with the most basic Zero probably on the planet shows that he’s still ready to dominate eventually like before.
Wright is bottom tier and the only people who think he is higher than his own bracket are his fans. :lol:

That reminds me of a time in one of my marketing classes in college the guy who sat next to me accidentally turned in 2 copies of his same homework sheet (he meant to print out 1copy and then 1 copy of another one but did 2 just for one by accident) and when he got both of them back the professor gave him 2 different scores… for the exact same answers (like a 88 and a 84 out of 100)

I’m just nitpicking so it’s no biggie. I do like that Magneto is above Doom, though. Aside from assists(and even then, disruptor is really good), I can’t see him being worse. Really do think he’s a bit overrated at the moment.

Felicia’s Sand Splash is a good OTG, but it’s decent for close range crossups. It comes out pretty fast. Sadly, it doesn’t hit low.
Just wanted to point out: Phoenix has averaged around the middle of everyone’'s 2nd/A+ tier, and in those lists where she hasn’t, if they had done their tier lists as how was reccomended she would have been. Most have her at either the bottom or the top of the list, some have her in third, some have her in top tier. So she averages about middle of 2nd tier, where she’s in like 70% of the time.

I think it’s an interesting way to debate. It gets annoying seeing everyone just argue so why not put all the lists together from people who actually put up unbiased opinions and go from there when tournaments show otherwise.
People are going to tier whore regardless.
I might as well drop off my second attempt at a UMvC3 tier list here. I know you guys don’t like subtiers, but I feel as if I had to do it. For example, for my A++ Tier, I didn’t feel they were good enough for S, but they were better than everyone in A+. Subtiering is much more prone to errors in judgment than regular tiers, but I believe strongly enough in this tier list that I’m willing to take that risk.
UMvC3 Tier List 2.0
[details=Spoiler]First off, I should state exactly what factors I used to create these tiers. These tiers do not factor the value of a character’s assists. Only the merit of a character’s fighting skills, with a reasonably decent assist, were used to reach these conclusions. By reasonably decent, I don’t mean Drones or Hidden Missiles; Hsien-Ko can probably play at A-Tier level with either of these assists, as can everyone else. Think Ryu’s Tatsu, or Magneto’s EM Disruptor, or perhaps Katana-rama. The assist obviously has to be beneficial to them to unlock the character’s fullest potential. The goal is unlocking the potential, not adding a layer that has nothing to do with the character. Giving Deadpool an OTG assist would make no sense as far as judging the character with an assist.

I honestly feel Firebrand should be S Tier, but I haven’t seen the proof yet, so I’m a little hesitant. He SEEMS insanely broken, but I really don’t know.
I put Deadpool really high because I think he is… Well, really good. And not just really good. Really good. His zoning is superb, his teleport is the best in the game, his slide is great, his hypers are solid, he hits somewhat hard, and he’s just really scary to go up against because he’s slippery. You think you have him cornered and he has a million things he can do to get away from you. He’s more than just a joke character now.
MODOK also has a tier placement now! I based that off a combination of ridiculous damage output and, while awkward at first, excellent mobility. His Jamming Bomb may very well be the most broken move in the game, his Barrier is excellent, anal cube is good for zoning and combos, and he can combo off his grabs. His only weakness for me is the lack of a good low… And having Humpty Dumpty’s hitbox.[/details]
