Yeah, I definitely agree that Baroque and Air Raid are superior to MvC3’s mechanics, though XF/TAC isn’t terrible on its own. The main thing I don’t care for about TAC’s is the reward one gets for playing Rock-Paper-Scissors.
I really just want Hard tags to not overhead… its so stupid that they do, because as we all know it makes punishing them so difficult. Why do people complain about characters so much when this and TAC tomfoolery exists. I guarantee you lost a shitload of games trying to chip someone out or waiting for the tag and just got kicked in the face, and ended up in a combo in your haste.
SO remove Overhead hard tags
TAC’s, or add some alternative where it’s at least 50/50
XF or have it so XF only last for one character. So if you kill a character in xfactor, it should not remain for the next 2. maybe the speed lasts but the damage goes back to normal once that first character dies.
I really dont want to nerf any characters, cause I dont feel anyone is that dominant in the game. Maybe make vergil swords cost 2 bars other than that I dont feel he is too overpowered.
tweak the vitality on a bunch of characters on a bunch of characters and buff the lowest of the lows (PW, HK, Ironman, Ironfist, Arthur)
Oh yeah and the only thing that should be nerfed about Doom is Hidden Missiles assist (Maybe 4 missiles so they’re easier to evade but doom is on the screen for the same amount of time?) other than that the character isn’t really all that good lol, I dont see why people want to nerf him :S

That said, if things are going to change I’d like to see Iron Man get some buffs. Better dash, some new moves, knee drop, ability to fly cancel all his moves.
Also, what about making Strider Oroborous a level 2 hyper instead of level 3? They could adjust it a bit to make up for the lowered meter cost by having it either do less damage or not last as long. This way strider could get them going more often.
Strider Orbs and Vergil Swords both lvl 2s? You could give Strider back chip on it but maybe make it if he gets hit, he loses the orbs? Not sure how I’d like for that to be rebalanced. I think Capcom wanted a “fairer” Strider but they deviated too far from Marvel 2.
I’m biased for the characters I play obviously but…
I think Captain should get some changes. He’s “good” now but I don’t think he has a lot of room to improve. If the characters around him keep getting better as they get figured out more and more, he’s gonna slowly sink to the bottom. I’m not sure what all I’d give him (Patriotic Power Up Hyper would be amazing). Maybe increase hitstun on first hit of shield slash (or even just air H shield slash) so that it always hits twice allowing for conversion if it ever hits in the air?
Sentinel should for sure get increased health. I’d say at least whatever Doom has (1 mil?) and maybe more since he’s a worse character with a worse assist (in several ways).
Magneto’s pretty fine.
Shuma- a better, more consistent B&B. Maybe turn up his minimum damage scaling so I’m not struggling to break 500k with his combos (not literally but sometimes it feels like it).
Haggar- bigger moustache
Doom- definitely remove ground bounce on Foot Dive. I’ve called hypergrav assist while being foot dived, had Doom get put into CAPTURE STATE, recover from capture state, and be able to otg me into a full combo. Shit’s ridiculous. He does not need an hour to OTG.
Shuma’s normals and specials currently scale to 25% which is higher than everyone but the Hulk and the scattered few characters whose specials scale to 30%. You probably knew that since you play him?
He’s got some pretty crazy damage potential right now, but it’s not easy. Early on in the combo, all the multi-hit moves are a problem, but they actually end up doing far more damage than single hit moves after 15 or so hits.
I play him as a side character right now since I’m not good with him yet. I actually didn’t know the exact details of his damage scaling. I just knew that Zero had 30% on specials (which is ridiculous for a character of his archetype) and that it was higher than Shuma’s.
Yeah Shuma has good damage potential. I just can’t find reliable B&Bs that do solid damage. Everytime I play in a match, I mistime sj. m xx h smash or accidentally get smash instead of stare. I’m just salty that I can’t even do magic series just to get used to playing the character in a match without knowing that I’m wasting meter getting like 400k for a full combo.
You guys just won’t let Dante live huh lol.
Only thing wrong with him at this juncture IMO is the whole grapple unblockable thing.
I’d like to see Vergil not be able to cancel helm breaker with a teleport though.
General System Changes

xfactor does not give damage boost, time reduced. instead just changes minimum scaling of normals and lets you do extended combos using the extra speed. tweaked so it is a way of getting even, not stealing the match. level changes depending on how many chars you have left compared to your opponent when you activate

Character Changes
Akuma - health buffed to 850k
Dante - most his animations shortened to make his combos less obnoxious to watch. actually a buff since he can do more with less xf time this way. nerf to any million dollars THC tech though
Dr. Doom - S foot dive no longer cancelable by anything on block. you want the high payoff, take the risk of eating jump loops
Dr. Strange - gets a bad air dash. slow in all directions, but an air dash nonetheless
Felicia - re-record all voices to be less annoying
Ghost Rider - removed from the game and replaced with a less stupid character
Iron Man - launcher hitbox buffed slightly, Protein Cannon safe on block
Magneto - guard cancel super glitch fixed, repulsion/attraction/gravitation effect reduced so it does not affect velocity so much so quickly
Nova - currently useless c.L replaced with 6 frame low hitting short (not rapid fire), spending red health to improve moves is taken away from specials and only stays on beam super, human rocket super gains full invincibility after flash
Sentinel - health buff to 1 mil, jump normals have hitboxes as they retract back in
She Hulk - super has force wall bounce property so it still happens properly after using the bounce earlier in the combo
Spencer - up grapple scales
Storm - damage buff to normals. thought about making it so she could have longer combos, but that would give her more meter and I don’t want her to be her own battery
Taskmaster - health nerf to 1 mil
Thor - annoying air special move loses armor, normals get sped up
Vergil - c.H no longer hard knockdown, S-H target combo can only be performed once so you can’t just chain H-S-H-S-H-S forever
Wesker - all command grabs slowed to 3 frame startup
X-23 - s.L hitbox enlarged, can combo from air back throw, command grab cancelable into dive kick during airborne frames, air H and S get 6 active frames (up from 3), grounded L DP is invincible on startup
Zero - special buster cancel can only be done from lightning, c.M priority nerf, lvl3 buster charge time increased
Anybody ever thought about just removing the Soft Knockdown from Raikousen against airborne opponents? Saying “remove Lightning Loops” would be pretty difficult to do without simply doing this. Seems like a fair solution, every time I get hit by that move I’m like “no way he’s gonna combo me” and then I forget about Soft Knockdown, and I get comboed.

I honestly think Iron Man needs a ton of buffs. There is so much stupid shit wrong with the character. No ground dash for literally no reason? Sure! Fucking awful hyper that’s minus a billion on block! Go for it man! Virtually no time to confirm off Repulsor Spread combined with a terrible ground dash and no hitstun on OTG moves while Doom, Vergil and Dante players have enough time to get a Coke from the fridge and mail a letter and still have time to hitconfirm off their moves? YEAH. TONY STARK!

Increase the recovery of Phantom Dance. If the other guy wants to get his glasses buff, he either needs to get hit, use Phantom Dance in a combo or risk getting punished for it.
lol the whole point of glasses was that Phantom Dance is so bad they just threw in a buff mechanic
It’s not the best super in the world, sure, but what’s so bad about Phantom Dance?
It’s pretty inconsistent, but usually lower damage, it always carries the opponent to the top of the screen, making it terrible for THCs unless you have a quick enough super to finish and position yourself underneath the falling enemy and combo afterwards, it can easily be punished if you use it at close range, it’s just pretty bad.
It hits everywhere, randomly crosses up and powers up Wesker. It’s far from bad.
