wesker is a lot like Zero. They decided there were certain degenerate things they really didn’t want them to do (TOD loops, really excessive gun use), and strengthened a more general style of play.
Also, I think Akuma got substantially buffed, even with tatsu nerfs.
Yeah we’re gonna have to hope somehow that Zero is going to have a hard time reaching the 550k damage mark before super or I see Capcom waving the patch hammer after release. Especially with their whole notion of “people won’t die in one combo from the start of the round anymore, game is more reset driven”. LOL.
So in a cast full of wild, diverse, unique play styles, Capcom decides to let the most generic, dull character remain god tier.
So whats up with Iron Man? I didn’t play MvC3 for more than a couple of hours but it seemed liked he wasn’t very good from the limited amount of people I saw using him. Is he going to be better in Ultimate?
I do plan on picking up Ultimate so I hope my favorite Marvel character is good…
He got some needed buffs (c.H cancellable, air dash cancels etc.) but will probably still be struggling to get out of B tier.
Iron Man had some things going for him in presently but at the end of the day he’s the most technically demanding character in the game with a lot of really big issues even if you get pass the technically demanding part. They are more or less trying to remake him into something completely new, they fixed a lot of his issues but at the same time took away his double jump and his tridash which were key to his gameplay. So it’s going to be difficult to predict how good/bad he will be in UMvC3, just don’t expect to be able to get him to work without putting in a ton of effort.

yo real talk, i had a dream (or was it a nightmare) that zero could fire hadagekis in the air and he was using that to cancel into buster shot into some crazy re-loop combo

I actually feel Iron man is gonna be a lot less execution-intensive in UMVC3. I predict he’ll play more similarly to Sentinel but with Magneto-style combos.

I’m 100% behind Wesker getting the games second air ok level 3.
For the same reason Wesker only lost 100k health I guess.
Zero didn’t lose his BnB combos one bit. He just lost his common loops due to the Saber not giving enough hitstun anymore. His main BnB got longer I think. its L,M,H, Shippuga,S,M,M, LV.3 Buster xx Raikosen L, S, M,M,H, Sentsuizan M ot H (need to test to be sure when game drops), xx Raikosen L, S, M,M,H,S, Rekkoha.
That’s still quite a bit of damage. If Wesker can still get Zero to relaunch, consider a character dead.

I think heel stomp could actually be reasonably useful, if they let you do it immediately on the way up.
It doesn’t look like the tier standings are going to change around much, at least from an ignorant, pre-release standpoint anyway. Top tiers were refined but didn’t really move anywhere, a couple mids (Cap, Chris if you count him as low mid) will probably move up, low tiers stay where they are.

but the people who are known to play him seriously on here think he might actually be worse n are thinking of dropping ,
