no one is playing ae on steam since the steam version uses gfwl as well for it’s multiplayer system. otherwise the retail and steam version wouldn’t be compatible.
the question remains is how steam exactly performs the adoption process of the retail owners, I guess at the release you can activate ae on steam with your gfwl key.
ehhh i wonder too how they gonna convert all the GFWL versions to Steam for peoples who want to upgrade , personally am gonna purchase a physical copy anyways
I think PC players won’t get the option to upgrade (migrate accounts). Too bothersome for Capcom, Microsoft and Valve.
And who cares, anyway. PP is useless and the physical copy gets all the costumes. And it’s cheap. And it has Poison, which in no possible way indicates that I may be biased towards the product, therefore ignoring all the possible negativity this transition may bring…
Bonus: Even less ragemail, messaging people outside of your friends list on Steam is a freakin’ chore.
Issue: Mic settings are handled in Steam, prepare for all the people forgetting to turn that shit off / not knowing it’s on by default.
considering the retail version of usf4 will cost 40$ (pretty cheap, huh?) and that casual players of ae probably won’t buy another version of the game at full price, it won’t be too bothersome for capcom and valve to make sure that they reach the highest amount of possible customers and optimize their profit. there were already a few other games on steam who did it and in those cases no user had to buy the game again but could migrate their version to steam.
Whoa, hold it. Wasn’t it 23-28$ for the disc, when they announced USF4?
Still, completely irrelevant. You’re right, this pricing would hurt the whole deal if it was the only option. Sorry about the confusion, peeps. I definitely don’t consider the 40$ pricing cheap…far from it.
If Infiltration made it to grand finals instead of Tokido, do you think his Akuma would have stopped Xian from taking it? I was shocked that Tokido even got as far as he did this year at Evo2013, sorry Tokido fan’s. Lol
I can’t help but feel like that would have been an even better grand final match up.
Hi.
Has Capcom mentioned any game system changes in USF4?
I dunno about you guys but I think its time to depart from hard knockdown into canned set ups ambiguous oki repitition gameplay.
I want to see them make a drastic change like make sweeps and throws QSable or something.
