Most Seth teleport after a spin kick, there’s no safe way of wall jumping after a spin kick unless you finish with a dive kick to bait a DP. At least not against characters with decent reversals, it’s a gimmick at this point.
People need to realize that the update and balance changes wouldn’t be made without the new stuff brought over from SFxT. Making balance changes and testing those balance costs money (and that’s before having the patch go through approval). It’s most likely the only reason this got a green light from the board is that it’s being sold as a DLC update. However people won’t be willing to pay for balance updates alone, so they need to be able to add new content without spending millions of dollars to do so, hence the stuff ported over from SFxT. Balancing and testing the characters as well as updating the stages costs less than creating new models and art assets.
The biggest reason this is happening is because people wanted it, begged and asked for it. I think you all forget that sometimes.
I may not end up liking every little change, and I’ve definitely complained about Vega and shit, but it would be nice to see someone genuinely excited for this thing instead of bashing it as lazy and stupid.
I know it’s fine to have concerns and opinions and Ill probably catch at least a little shit for this, but whatever.
Yes, and I’m sure the Zangief, T-Hawk, Fei, and Cammy players out there wouldn’t have a problem with it either. Doesn’t make it any less ridiculous. You’re biased.
Pick your character and wait until they pick their character before you pick your Ultra. Do people seriously not know this?
No, we’re “bitching” because there are many things that can go potentially wrong with it balance wise–especially if this is supposed to be apparently the most balanced version of SF4. If we hated change, we wouldn’t have been asking for an SF4 update in the first place, genius.
Tell me, Beavis. If you think a game sucks, then why the hell do you play it? I don’t like Marvel 3. While it can be fun to watch, I find it way too broken and random to take seriously, so I don’t play it anymore, and I sure as hell don’t go on the UMvC3 section of the threads bitching about it. You don’t like a game, don’t get involved it.
Of course you don’t care whether both Ultras are accessible or not – you don’t even like the damn game! So by that fact alone, why should we care about what you think?
To be fair SocraticClown did mention waiting to see who opponent picked. However he doesn’t like waiting. I think it would be better that the ultra select screen only comes up after both people have picked their characters.
Is there a change log somewhere of the current changes Capcom has announced/is testing? I know they’ve announced some tweaks for Fei as well as Ibuki’s neck breaker. But the news is just scattered randomly.
Whether you wait to pick your ultra or not you still have to wait for them to pick their character anyway. The time gained or lost by not picking your ultra straight away will always be zero.
Lets make 2 ultras usable and disrupt the whole balance of the game just so SocraticClown doesn’t have to wait to press the X button between picking character colour and ultra, despite no time gained whatsoever.
I think Vega could benefit with the use of an extra hit for certain combos. Such as cosmic heel, c.mp then EX izuna like how sf x t sorts of implements it. His ultras should be slightly easier to combo into.
And guys, don’t ever take a clown seriously. Even when he is.
Best edit that. I still meant cosmic heel though. Weird I keep forgetting which is which for Vegas high claws. Barcelona claw and izuna drop? Either way, rolling crystal could be buffed with a quicker start up for EX.
because its annoying to make people wait 29 seconds. that’s why.
coz that’s whats gonna happen if we played each other.
you’re busy waiting for me, and i’d be busy waiting for you.
29 seconds lost from both of our lives.
To everyone losing their shit over having both ultras available - apparently (I haven’t seen this posted anywhere here) you have the option at the ultra select to select ultra 1, 2, or both. If you choose both ultras, they will do dramatically less damage than if you choose just one of them. Or at least that’s what’s been said.
