One frame links aren’t hard, just the ones with awkward timing. Ryu’s cr.mp, cr.hk link is one frame, but it feels natural as hell. Same with Chun’s st.lp, st.hp.
Some are very easy if the recovery between the two moves is fast, but links like Ryu’s SPS, cr.hp are kinda hard because the timing is awkward.
I’ll give you a break. You must’ve not played the old school SF games like the SF2 series. In reality, Zangief’s “360” has always been a 270 motion. The game register’s an srk motion as forward, down, forward punch. so on your stick you can actually do Sub Zero’s fatality motion from MK1 and get an srk out…
A little off topic: Do you think Capcom may start an online website to USF4 similar to RE6/ RE Revelations? i.e. Where you link your in game data to the online database?
Might be a nice way to unlock some extra goodies - perhaps alternate costumes / colours for existing costumes. This is a long shot, but if we can customize our characters - might be a way of unlocking extra accessories/ outfits.
So someone requested Guile having an Air Sonic Boom and Ayano was all NOOOOOO!
At first I was like, Air Sonic Boom? Akuma has Air Hadouken so why not
But then realized it would probably make Guile either too lame or too strong depending how he was utilized by the player
I would like to see Capcom try and find ways to make Guile more entertaining to use.
@K,
Completely agree, I think the new character will be a new design like Juri, Viper, Rufus etc., were.
I honestly think they’ve already used the best characters from Final Fight so…
Huh… somehow I doubt you have actually tried it in training mode.
The way it’s set up, the first down-right counts as both a forward and a down. Unless, of course, the input display is lying, where DF, DF+P is actually something else, and it’s just being reported as two diagonals.
I mean, the best way to see if this is actually working that way is test Akuma’s Ultra I. If LP, Back+LP+LK+HP (may require programmable pad or macros to pull off) results in the Ultra coming out, then we know with certainty you can get credit for multiple inputs on a single frame.
Perhaps Capcom has learnt the error of their ways? Maybe they would be willing to give back to the community? I would still like a character edit mode, together with a world warrior mode where you can unlock outfits and accessories to make your character as aesthetically pleasing or unpleasing as you want The models are in 3D, so I don’t know if it would be that much of a difficult task?
It would be cool if somehow Capcom opened up the game to modders (especially for the consoles) - this could possibly be achieved through the use of such a website? i.e. modders can post their designs and before it is released it can go through some internal review … but i’m sure a number of intellectual property issues may still arise.
The other guy has already tried it and said it doesn’t work. The reason people think df, df works is because people have sloppy inputs and are probably brushing to down only on their second df, resulting in df, d, df; which is allowed since you have one forward, one down, then one forward. Instead of saying i’m wrong go and try it. Do two perfect df’s without any other directions and see if you get it out. And that is the reason why saying df, df works is dangerous, because by law of averages and just being used to doing so many times, you’ll hit a perfect df, df and won’t get a DP.
OMG WTH? Even the stages are copy-paste from SFxTK? I know for a fact that the more this game resembles that shitty SFxTK, the more I’ll hate it. I was considering pre-ordering the UDON version, but after hearing this, I doubt I will.
I can see why capcom is doing it though. I mean why waste unnecessary amounts of resources on making new stages when everyone will pick the training stage anyway? [details=Spoiler]Kappa[/details]
EVO was played in the training stage 99% of the time. Look at Yogaflame replays, most high level jap players pick the training stage. I always pick the training stage online, I think there is some truth to this whole lag issue with certain stages.
