It’s way past my bedtime.
Charlie got Guile out that habit. Guile wanted to be a pizza delivery boy at first. He knew his hairstyle was perfect, but Charlie put on his glasses and he said: no. When in doubt, sonic boom.
And I’m done for the night.

Imo they should remove 1 frame links, get rid of the plinking bug/mechanic and just make them 2 frames.
It’s just fucking unnecessary.
Except that even if you remove the arbitrary 1 frame links that they added into the IV series, people will always find 1 frame stuff on their own and plinking/piano will be helpful for those.
I’d like it for uppercuts cancelled into forward dash to leave every character at a reasonable frame disadvantage.
-3 Seems like it would cause severe damage however -2 doesn’t seem unsafe enough.
It’s plain that cancelling DPs is a defensive tool, however I think it’s a little too lop sided in teh risk/reward department that such a save maneuver should double as combo extender on hit. It’s obvious that cancelling Dps that connect into more damage is here to stay which is why I suggested a nerf to the safeness instead.
Hundred hand slap… Dat asss
I don’t see why you’d want to remove 1F links, characters like Sagat, Seth, Ken, T.Hawk, Yun etc… do not depend on them. It’s good for maximizing damage but that is until you get to a level where shit like that matters.
What about characters who do depend on them?
I still don’t understand what’s so bad about practicing a timing for a combo.
Like Rufus, Rose, Gen and such, characters who have 1F in their bnbs. But other than that it’s for damage purpose and you can do fine without them at a certain level.
Nothing, Imo. Just asking since he made that distinction.
Let me summarize what everyone talks about on these forums.
Bad programming and game design leads to hundreds of forum pages of complaints and demands for multiple revamps of the same game.
Yoshinori Ono is a moon laser and monocle away from being the next Bond villain.
Whore much?
Since literally everyone who has enough grasp on the game to know what a 1 frame link is, uses plinking to execute them making them effectively 2F links.
Since plinking is a bug in itself and executing 1F links without plinking is as reliable as Russian roulette, I just feel it’s a superfluous mechanic in my opinion.
Maybe it’s because I’m a new player and can’t see the benefits of such a seemingly ridiculous gameplay mechanic like 1F links but to me it seems like they’re over complicating things for the sake of complicating things and not to make the game more deep.
I’ve lost count of how many times that I’ve got a accidental super when doing dash>fuki with Mak. Heck even a simple thing such as oiling up with Hakan can give you a super unless you shortcut it!
Wait what do people mean by shortcuts for this game? I’m feeling noobish here.
I must be the only dude that doesn’t give a fuck about 1f links even without plinking?
Shortcuts were put into the game to make things easier.
Example:
The classic shoryuken motion is: forward, down, downforward, punch
The “new” shoryu motion is: downforward, down, downforward, punch
This is just 1 example, since there are tons of shortcut motion even some for 2xquartercircle forward supers that are very similar to the dragon punch motion.
That leads to all sorts of bullshit interactions.
I’m not against shortcuts by any means but I wish you had on option to either use the new or old motions and not both at the same time.
Everytime I have full meter with Ken, I have to blow it on EX specials I don’t really want to use not only because the super is kind of crappy, but because it’s so easy to activate accidentally.
Crappy!?!?!!? Kens super does 370 raw damage. All supers count as one hit so it won’t scale like ultras do.
Oh I get it thanks. I realised that in comparison to third strike. I assumed shortcuts was like a one button press to do a special move that I didn’t know about lol.
Guess these shortcuts do make it easier for newcomers but there should be an option per se.
