Ultra Street Fighter 4 | General Lounge

I get removing U1 from EX roll for Rolento, but also making it unsafe on block? The move is hard to time as it is. And why is Capcom suddenly being a pussy and nerfing all of its buffs? I fucking hate them so much sometimes. Their idea of balance is to make everyone ridiculously strong and then just shit on them completely.

I’m grateful that they constantly support Street Fighter. But at the same time they annoy me more than almost any company out there.

Just for looks,I mean yeah,it doesn’t really matter but I’ll hate seeing this

Any news about Hakan changes? :D.

Roll is -6 already. Kim1234 posted a video of it being punished by bison stand mk in the arcade build.

Eh, it’s not bad it’s still got all that electricity and stuff. The original was obnoxious (hence removing it) it obscured way too much of the screen for so long. Once again, I wouldn’t mind a middle road on this but I’d prefer the smoke in USF4 over AE2012 if I had to pick one.

Also, holy crap did he say: Hugo’s fastest normal is 7F? God I hope that’s wrong. Even in SFxT his normals were faster than that (crLP = 5F. sLP = 6F. crLK = 6F) and in that game throws were 5F and his SPD was 6F.

If 7F is Hugo’s fastest normal… ugh

As for

Does the US version have the new life bars? if not I’ll say the euro version is ahead of it, but how is that possible when combofiend is doing all the changes /srk

I doubt Hugo’s fastest normal is 7 frames, I’m guessing his fastest normal is probably still going 5 frames though which still means he’ll have overall the slowest normals of the entire cast, not to a completely insane ammount but just enough to balance out the excellent range and damage.

i have no idea, i couldnt catch any USF4 action from NWM because of the time zone … but yeah the EU version might be more recent

As if most buffs weren’t stream monsters demand either

What were the new buffs?

You could have warned us about the charge characters and told us to skip to 2:50 (lets pray they are mid to bottom tier in Ultra again, Amen)

AT 1:06:10 Poison combo’d off her overhead without even needing a counter hit, damn that bitch is sexy. (Yes i know she’s a guy fuck off)

If thats from the USF4 5v5 tournament from last night then 8 more hours of footage is missing

Hi all, not sure where to post this. I’ll be backpacking in/around Tokyo for a month starting mid-may. I’d like to play some Ultra. Is ultra in only a few arcades? What are some good arcades to check out? I’ve heard of big box takadanobaba, taito hey akihabara, and club sega. Relative player skill doesn’t matter to me, just looking for a fun environment to spend some days playing ultra and maybe to meet people.

Thanks for any advice. I’ve been googling but all I can find re: good places to play ultra is information about location tests… But it’s been officially released, right?

If you would have checked the Poison thread, you would have known that months ago…shes +5 on hit with the overhead and the wheel kick…combo said it’s a 2 frame link into crouch jab. Nothing new here.

I watched this mini-tourney on Ustream yesterday, featuring Oni, Rufus, Bison, Elena, Poison, & Hawk:

Well i play only Yun and C. Viper and will probably play them for the rest of this games relevant life span, could give a fudge about the new characters. It wasn’t until recently i really wanted to try out Poison, and STRANGELY enough Elena, who i hated in 3S. ( loved her theme song though) O_O
Besides, i don’t do the research, i just wait for Eternal to post something insightful about Ultra so i can learn that way and have fun doing it. (Learning can be fun too)
