Really when it comes down to it half the people didn’t even notice dwu in effect in usf4 videos, what does that say? as well that certain characters that we expected to see denolished by dwu are as peachy as ever. I saw an ibuki running old setups on people for 40 wins and dwu didn’t even touch her capabilities, on a-cho. really I’m on the fence with this one and I wont fully feel/see its harms/effects until I playso I think everyone should let the opinion sink after you realize really what its effecting.
Actually the ibuki stuff has been discussed and it seems like due to the nature of her vortex she specifically has the capability of adjusting it easily. She does the same setup but then chooses in mid air to either do FJ LK or do a kunai throw based on if they did DWU or not. It’s not an option other characters have. They usually will end up having to make specific setups for DWU because their normal setups may not be adjustable on the fly like that. However some characters have the ability to change what setup the use if their setups give them time before they jump.
Ahhh I see well good I am all for this DWU it excites me to think maybe the games vortexing could tone down a bit considering there is some retarded setups that are easy as day. this would fix the real problems behind those retarded setups that are either unblockable/infinitely looping off of a hard kd. On the other hand I don’t know much about it once again but I’ve seen that it doesn’t nullify vortex completely so I think its doing well for what capcom’s description was of its effectiveness on stopping certain setups or all if the reaction time window is super tight.
they are so specific and setup dependent , once you get hit by one you replicate it on training mode and counter it… , and if it wasnt enough now you only have to DWU to avoid it , braindead
If they gave me a choice whether to make SRK’s -5 on FADC dash forward, or SRK’s all 4 frame reversals and i could only pick one, i would go with the latter. That would be the single most godlike change in fighting game history, and just seeing the shoto scrubs rage, man i would buy everyone who I think frequents this forum section something on Ebay (5 dollars or less) Anyways…
Anyone here happen to know how many hits Rolento is able to get with his Backflip - EX Roll? I’ve seen 5 but I’m pretty sure he can go higher than that since it was a decent distance away on the video I saw 5 hits. In SFxT it’s 8 max.
I think that might be one of the highest damage special moves in the game. Even at 5 hits the move does a ton, each of the roll hits is 30 damage and the final hit is 80. That’s 200 damage. If 8 hits is possible then the move would do 290 damage!
