The double ultra thing still worries me a lot.

Rolento has fully invincible EX Stinger, EX Delta Escape, and EX Patriot Circle last I checked. I guess they probably removed one of those.

Rolento’s EX Delta Roll might be a decent escape tool but he sacrifices a ton of positioning for that out. EX Patriot is like -1 on block (I think I heard that anyway) so that’s not the best option either against a grappler.

What about it are you even worried about?

It’s more like knee jerk reaction than a worry…W-Ultra isn’t a issue.

I actually liked the 99 seconds in sfxt for training mode. That way I was able to use 2 characters and find out set ups much faster.

So did anything ever come from that sony trailer that had street fighter stuff related in it?

It really seemed like Capcom was about to announce a PS4 port but then nothing…

I like this delayed wake up timing. it counter some vortex but still allow some pressure and okizem game

While i’m against it, in the end people will figure out setups vs delayed wakeup. It’s inevitable.

It’s the lazy way out of all unblockables though, so overall maybe the game is better with that.

Delayed wake up is really something that change the game.

Sure you can with some os apply pressure, but due to delayed wake up, all reversal become effective.

let s take honda as exemple. after a cr hk with ryu you could jump os shoryu. it will counter all honda option.

now if you do the same the delayed wake up will trigger your OS and you will just wiff a big shoryu…
if you decide to wait couple of frame bettingthat honda will delay his wake up and jump you will be countered by the headbutt…

if you jump with hp and do a meaty down lk, you will guard the headbutt id he wake up directly but eat it if he delayed is wake up and counter your meaty cr lk…

basically, you can t anymore apply safe pressure on character that haven t a 3 frame reversal.

the reward for putting your opponent on the ground just disappeared in ultra… at least in SxT your could grab the roll, but here, delayed wake up come without any downside to use it.

what will be good is that you can t do a reversal if you used delayed wake up.

every time Honda will be on the floor he will just delay is wake up and do ex headbutt. he will be always safe…

this mechanism help too much defensive character. Guile will benefice a lot from it.

so you will fight hard to put guile on the ground and then you will not be able to capitalize on it.

I am afraid that this game is going to be too defensive… Capcom need to make the delayed wake up not a true safe option.

Being unable to do a reversal during the first 4 frame of delayed wake up will be the best option. it will allow safe meaty and okizem, but counter vortex .

i dunno. it just means you cant force situations. players will adjust. more traditional baiting of reversals. delayed attacks and delay back throw etc

i actually think it’ll make the game smarter. you’ll actually have to make decisions instead of KD into auto set play

Well I was just talking about grapplers. You’ll have forever to buffer your SPD punish since you’ll be locked in blockstun for a while too.

It’s pretty fucking dumb overall, I agree.

W Ultra just seems like something that could really kill the games balance if they aren’t super careful with implementing it.

Not seeing how this is even a thing, they already said it’s a substantial damage reduction on a majority of Ultra’s across the board…I said most and not all. Your sacrificing damage for utility…nothing more, nothing less.

quick rise didn’t break the game, neither will slow rise…

slow rise will make games last much longer, less exiting to watch , deny every already existing setup, add another 50/50 situation, heavily hit characters who rely on setups ( who did not get any buff in exchange ) , give more defense to characters who already have a lot, direct buff to characters who have good normals since we will focus more on footsies rather then setups ect …

it will clearly not break the game , but some characters will be really struggling to get in

It’s better than some characters getting a round for free because they got a knock down.
