It’s not so much the damage as the utility that concerns me. It’s a mistake in my opinion to think utility can always be balanced away by a simple damage nerf.
so you dont have any other arguments then insults ? clearly am the wrong one
either you have no idea what it is to play with setups, or you’re playing it dumb and just be happy so you dont have to think now on your wake up
i dont really care if you think am that wrong ( really dont waste your energy being angry please), i dont clame being a specialist or whatever, i just play the game daily and thats how i feel about delayed wake up, i dont have much problem about it ultimately as i play other character who dosnt rely on setups
how about fixing said characters that get free round on some other characters rather giving every character another defensive option
I think it works out for the characters who can actually benefit from W-Ultra. Not every character can generally benefit from the choice of that ultra and it too depends on the match up. Would the match up really matter if that character has access to both ultras to deal damage. I agree with your sentiment that a damage change isn’t a universal fix to it but I’d rather think of it as…take the damage nerf than to nerf the tool’s effectiveness like reducing start up invulnerability or taking away armor break properties to an Ultra.
But I can see the potential problem of people using w-ultra to cover the bases completely when they are competent of a certain match up and can directly affect the mind game of a match before it starts.
Not really. Some characters can use it to combo into ultra, but the scaling will rarely make it worth 3 bars to do it. El Fuerte can use it to get into RCF from a light, but again, scaling will probably make it pointless.
60%. And you’ll most likely need one or two more hits to hitconfirm it. Still, its gonna make the combo system more open, which is a plus imo. It will also be an easy way for beginners to combo into ultra with a lot fo characters, especially charge characters.
I wouldn’t say that. Only thing that annoys me is how heavily he got hit in the stun department. For example, he’ll still be pretty safe after SRK xx FADC by simply forcing them to block his FA. I don’t know if it’s a blockstring, but they should be counterhit if they try to throw out a normal or something, and if they block it, you’ll still have that sweet SRK/SPD mix-up.
Just wanted to point out vanilla SFxT was full of timeouts, but they are very rare in ver. 2013. So that isn’t a valid point to argue against DWU or whatever.
