So after all that claustrophobia talk I am backing out of the tournament. Sorry kids.

You might be SOL dawg
We’re pretty stuck unless you’re driving, Mike J. James and I are still down if you decide to go.
Argh. I was looking forward to it too. Oh well If we don’t go, I’m free all day Saturday if you just want to drop it off, Andy.
GGs last night guys. Sagat reminded me of one thing - I miss the old stand jab.
Hey Chris, I dont need that JLF anymore, at least not for a while
Fuck it, I’ll drive.
Tight.
James and I touched on some of this last night. If you’re looking to level your game up through money matches, then why are money matching people who are worse than you? I honestly think you shouldn’t MM people at all, because you get way too frustrated.
Adding on to what Mike G said: You have no gameplan. It seems like you do hardly any research and try to identify what deficiencies do characters have that your character can exploit. The fact that you get frustrated and start blaming your character for your lack of aptitude shows me that you give no respect to the player who identifies what the character’s weakness is and develops his game around getting past that, which holds you back. You’re getting bodied and cant figure it out? Stop the match and ask why. If they can’t tell you, log it in the back of your head to do research on it. Do research on what THEY tell you to see if its accurate. Its Street Fighter. There’s always something that can be done, whether it be a certain poke, special or a simple change in position.
Secondly, even if you do have a gameplan, you’ve always got to be thinking - just because x beats y doesnt mean that z doesn’t x, or doing a,b and c completely eliminates y (the catalyst) even being necessary. This is how you level up your character, and yourself. I played Ron a few days ago with Rose and blew him up with her slide. I knew going in that Sagat doesn’t have much that can contend with slides, and the proximity guarding that comes with those pokes is a real problem because he has to stand up to change his position quite frequently. Yesterday, he changed his position to either avoid the slide or to get close enough to where it wasn’t safe anymore, hence limiting how much I was using it. Now, I have to go find methods to handle that. This exchange is how we improve over the span of days where it might take you weeks.
Lastly, your punishing sucks. I mean… its… oh man. Ill get with you on that later.
Don’t be a dick Jarv
Pot, kettle, black.
I liked it in the sense that I thought it was kind of rude for Chris to publicly announce something like that, so I was in agreement with Steve’s sadness.
Unfortunately they don’t have a button that says all that.
-
I knew Jarv was gonna hit the like button before I even posted it, haha.
-
I have no issues against Chris saying it - it’s not like I don’t already know that I’m the second worst AE player in town. It’s actually good motivation to spend more time behind the stick.
PM
Am I, or can I still be a part of this? I’ll throw down for gas.
