I don’t mind, 97-92 is a decent score…
Considering I was playing a way worse team the majority of the time, I would agree! I’ll take a 3% spread any day.
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! you best come to casuals tonight!
Bitch please, that’s only the case out of the box, but you and I know it becomes retarded if you got a touch with iron fist.
Games at 8 or whenever Andy wants.
The gem system is pretty interesting, I think they could’ve done more with it though. Pre-order exclusive gems are stupid as fuck, but whatever.
EDIT: Hmmm. The highest tier of gauge reduction gem requires you to activate Pandora, but you have unlimited gauge in Pandora, so…?
Also, they misspelled ‘divine’ as ‘devine’…EVERY SINGLE TIME.
It’s the vine removal gem.
iirc it refills as you use it rather than just being infinite, so there’s still a benefit to be had there. Regardless, system looks as retarded as it was feared to look. No hype whatsoever, game can go die quietly.
Why? It wont be a serious competitive game but it could at least be entertaining.
Start whenever I’m leaving now so I wont be there until 10ish
Wow, I don’t really care about AE2012 all that much but these new Oni combos look really fucking hot.
So does anybody want a ride to Jax for the weekend , let me know! Pronto
GGs to everyone last night, even though im still playing like ass
Didn’t matter, still got paid.
Tyger is asking for the 5v5 names, since Ron is claustrophobic and not going, can we get an updated list of who’s going?.
Yo Drew, do you think i could get a ride BACK from Jacksonville?
EDIT: Scratch that idea, tally car rental prices are REDIC.
GGs - once I put some serious time into AE, we may have to do a runback Drew. Or I can just wait and put you into losers’ bracket at te next Tally tourney.
Mike J - i remembered the Wiimote today. When’s good for me to swing by? 5?
I get home at 5:30. If that doesn’t work text me and we’ll make arrangements
we can do a runback after we’ve both leveled up significantly. Whether I got paid or not, I’m still not happy with the way I played last night at all, and I honestly didn’t take anything away from that money match besides steve’s money, which actually is slightly upsetting. The main reason i do money matches is to learn stuff while the pressure is on. It makes me think harder than I do in casuals and forces me to learn from my mistakes quickly since there’s something on the line. the money is a nice bonus, but in this business, I want to learn more than anything else, and if it costs me 10/20 bucks losing a money match, than so be it. That being said, If i had lost the money match last night, I would have been upset that I took nothing away from it, which is no fault of steve’s but the fact is, I was just kinda hitting buttons.
So until Im back in street fighter mode hardcore (I blame zelda), I won’t be doing anymore money matches, (Maybe at project storm since ill be surrounded by street fighter), Chris make yourself free cause you’re gonna be bodying me all night long. oh baby
A) Chris could never make himself free
B) You’re right Drew - we’ve gotta do a lot of leveling up. I am mostly uninterested in other FG’s (competitively) right now so AE is back to being my main focus. One thing that I feel you were leveling up during our matches is combo consistency - you can only level that up under pressure, like you said yesterday, and you damn sure hit me with plenty. I have tons more to learn, but I gotta play against a lot of the good AE players in town (Chris, Crespo, Logan, Ron, Mike, Mike, etc.) and just put way more time into pmode.
C) We all know that you don’t want to MM me again because you’re scurred that I might take your money next time since it wasn’t a blowout like you thought it would be. 10-7 isn’t bad but 7-10 will be worse!
@Drew: You’ve been just ‘hitting buttons’ for a while now. I stopped watching the matches after game six or so, because you literally did nothing but play on autopilot. Steve got away with about eight blocked EX dives before I quit watching. He hit you with at least four wakeup ultras because you wouldn’t respect his anti-meaty abilities. If you want to do well in this game you need to:
[]Actually think when you’re playing.
[]Try new things in a match, don’t just try to ‘win’.
[]DO NOT GET FRUSTRATED. This is about 75% why you lose to Chris A consistently.
[]Take a small break after a match when you lose, if possible. Replay the match in your head and try to figure out exactly why you lost.
There are plenty of ways to get better, but money matches are probably the least useful.
Also, Andy ducked out so fast after getting a beatdown from James. Nobody else got a turn to run him over!
