ULTIMATE Tallahassee Thread: 20 more pages of crying about everything

Probably shot ideas like that down because said persons know what kind of clientele they are working with, which isn’t conducive to the success of such an idea.

Return of SAT words, go.

Wanna get a little more experience with Ryu/Dante/Mag before I go to the gurus to work at leveling up. Surprisingly, I don’t find myself complaining anymore, so I’m going to stick with it. I’ll jump on 2012 whenever. They either nerfed or are undoing nerfs that shouldn’t have been there to begin with to all of my characters, so I’m not really caring too much.

EDIT: Oh! Forgot to mention - parts order coming up. Text me with what you need. Order goes in on Wednesday.

I’ll be in J-Ville until Friday night, but i’ll be down for Saturday morning games Chris. You can blow my team up in Marvel if you want. I already gained some ground on Logan with a hot ass 7.84% win level. Let me know if you’re free that day.

FTFY.

Also with regards to your argument Chris A - you’re basically saying that it’s a Mobius Strip effect, where it can’t change because it already exists in its current state… Unchangeable. So hasn’t Drew broken that neverending line by offering some growth and alternative to our scene? Instead of saying “that won’t work”, how about instead, we just actually do it, that way it DOES work?

Speaking of SAT words…Jarv do you know what it means to be “ousted”?

Most fun thing I have ever experienced within the realm of the MvC3s: 9 Cube corner TAC death combos… I love em. I skeet when I get em.

Kinda mad yall posted that vid of Flash…I am the best Modok!!!

Ousted: Drive out or expel (someone) from a position or place. Exactly which position or place are you expelling me from though? I never claimed to be anything but a MODOK noob lol

RE: TAC combos – Yeah I’m workin’ on them. It’s best to learn an up-TAC combo too so you have a legit 50/50 for which direction to counter.

I think some of the issues have more to do with the games themselves in a spectator setting (Games of LoL/SC2 last longer so the downtime between matches doesn’t seem as bad) but yeah the relationship goes both ways. Commentating for fighting games is also a lot different, and no one seems to be doing it on or near the level of Day9/Tastosis. I have to assume some people are really into constant memes and “swag on his dick,” but I’ve never gone for it myself.

It seems like trying to get involved in a sponsored large event like MLG has a very high reward with a relatively low risk for fighting games, since even if they bungled it again there’s already tradition to fall back on, but right now it seems like a lot of people are content to just roll with it and hope the upward trend continues.

Steve: feel free to convince the rest of the Florida, bud. I feel you, but… its what it is.

As far as 2012 goes, ya didn’t really fix anything cus that’s not really true.

IM still open to the idea of trying a new system in florida, If i can get people to do it, but im only one guy. Thanks for the support steve

@Adam you guys should practice at gamescape since saturday morning is the tournament…

Only real difference is the first cube. the down TAC you use the M Cube and the up you use the L Cube. Easy peasy!

and its that attitude thats never gonna change anything. “no one’s ever gonna do it so why bother trying” why don’t you start trying and SHOW people why this is a better system, actions speak incredibly louder than words

Man, if stuff like ‘conducive’ and ‘clientele’ were SAT words I’d be in fuckin’ Princeton right now.

The scene can change and adapt, but it requires either the old guard to be willing to do new things (see: Alex Valle and levelUp) OR the new people need to be interested for longer than a few months (and be willing to roll with the changes).

Chris, you’d be better off sticking with AE, I think you’re more competitive in that game. You mesh well with the style and system and learn better there.

I think conducive at the very least is a pretty common one, or indicative of the level of vocabulary they test on the SAT.

Also, man I wish good SAT scores got you into Princeton or schools like it. That would almost be as if the SAT was actually used for something.

New rule: if Ghostface said it, it’s not an SAT word.

I feel like this rule is incorrect and needs to be changed immediately. I think our standardized testing should be primarily drawn from Wu-Tang albums.

The SAT is the nerd equivalent for penis-measuring, only it’s gender neutral and can be done with your clothes on.

I feel like penis measuring is probably more useful and more meaningful…I say this as someone with a small penis and relatively large SAT score.

so r u guys getting down for games Tuesday night and would anyone want to play some t6 with me? I have gotten back into this game again. I doubt any of you have. I’ll bring the game if someone has a 360.

Mike: nah, I meshed with Super well enough but I haven’t flowed with AE since its came out. I don’t foresee 2012 being any different. I’m so bored with it that I pick different characters every other week just to see if I can use them and keep things fresh.

Besides, it doesn’t matter how competitive I am, Ron said it best: no one is playing it, and I’d rather be playing something that people are playing.

This I didn’t care to know

1- Thanks to everyone for all of the congrats on engagement and the birthday wishes.

2- I thought people took the ACT more than the SAT nowadays? I can flex a pretty high SAT score myself.

3- I probably won’t be on games tuesday night, got some stuff going on after work with the gf (can I still say that for now?) and some other friends, but I’ll be down more than likely a couple nights later on in the week so I can attempt to still be good competition on saturday. Ron is probably gonna be down though, but I won’t speak for him. If he is, I’m sure Turk would be willing to jack you up in some T6 mike (Turk is the man on some tekken)
