tbh I don’t have high hopes for Marvel. Still don’t have a team I enjoy playing. I have characters I like…just not a squad of 3 that has good synergy.

GG is old, Fate sucks, and I played MBAA as recent as two-three weeks ago! You’re making your jealousy way too apparent, Adonis! I know you missed my skillz in that game, I’m sorry, but I fell asleep one time too many while playing and just had to give it up.
The game will now be called Ultimate Marvel vs Wesker 3. I wasn’t kidding when i said this dude is really good. Wesker has no inherent weaknesses, godlike normals, retarded teleports, one of the damn best projectiles in the game, safe strings thanks to his launcher or teleport, level 4 xfactor, etc.

Really though, I’ll give this game about two years before people stop playing it competitively unless Capcom sticks to releasing new versions.
I’m sure they will do something to keep the blood pumping for Marvel. I mean, they still have all of these Adjectives to Use:
Super, Turbo, Alpha (Vanilla was already a Beta), EX, AE, V.2012, etc… In all seriousness, I’m sure they really do have a plan to trickle characters or some sort of DLC to keep it going for a while. Capcom knows how to make money on / prolong their franchises.
It all depends on what Marvel wants to do cause they gotta license everything through them. I’d be cool with an Arcade Edition in arcades for a while, put it out as DLC for consoles and then one last balance patch with a v.2013. Hopefully through all that they’d throw a couple more characters in and do more system changes (sup throw tech). But again, this all depends on Marvel.
Anyone have any thoughts about this? SirScoots came off as a real douche on LO3.

I agree with most of this. FG’s are treated like crap by other eSports outlets. But I also hate how 98% of the FGC refuses to embrace any new ideas for growing the community, changing, etc. Point in Case: Drew tried to come up with some kind of system for growing the North Fl/TLH FGC, and everybody immediately shat upon it (even Jebailey, an FGC “leader/organizer”) without coming up with suggestions on how to improve the idea. The only constructive feedback was “Jax does ranbats, lets do that” - basically, a suggestion to do things the way they’re done other places, instead of coming up with something new and fresh that we can actually grow with.
This is the EXACT reason why Fighting Games will never be a big part of Cyber Games event’s or any other “gaming” event’s other than what they have spawned themselves.
