Ultimate Salt - Nerfs you are looking FORWARD to in UMvC3

On Ammy, Dante, and Magneto:

All these characters when they do what they want beat the other two. I honestly think none of the matches between these three is worse than 6-4 and likely closer to 4.5-5.5. They all have some tools to deal with the others.

Clockwork is definitely a good Ammy, but I think X-ray is better, he’s recieved less publicity, but that’s just because SoCal has dramatically more media coverage than anywhere else. The dog has a lot of amazing tools that most people aren’t even near using to their potential yet, the entirety of glaive stance, a lot of uses of slow, paper, etc.

These 3 are definitely all top characters in vanilla and are all recieving some pretty wild changes in Ultimate.

why? You got hit, you die. Mechanics like that are ass tier. We don’t need combo breakers, we need players to understand that they have to build a team.

We really need all the supposed changes to UMvC3 in one spot so it’s easy to go through a list. Or are they are already? I don’t think they are, but this wouldn’t be the first time that I missed something glaringly obviously like a moron.

I never said you did. I was merely quoting you because I was directing that towards you (and a couple of other people who I know are still around) since your stance seemed similar to those who had essentially said the same thing towards the beginning of the thread–even then, though, it was a slightly ill-phrased since it should be more “buff everyone below A Tier! No nerfs” rather than “buff top tier alongside everyone else! No nerfs!” That would just be silly.

…Then again, people have been un-ironically asking for Zero buffs when he already got one he didn’t even need and is already ridiculously powerful, so, yeah.

I meant more that she will supposedly lose to them for free without being able to block at the start-up of her airdash in UMvC3, not in vanilla, given that losing to Dante & Magneto is already nothing special and they sound like they’re only getting better (for some reason) come UMvC3. That’s good to know, though, since like I said, I can’t stand to play her (or Tron or a couple of other people), so I know very little about Amaterasu other than she’s stupidly annoying to hit with most of the characters I happen to play–everyone I play besides Dormammu and maybe Jill is basically her bitch if she’s played competently (which she all too often isn’t).

Haha. It’s great, isn’t it? She should beat the hell out of Chris, but it almost always works (online). It’s the same with Zero players who do nothing but try to teleport/jump/air-dash above you and spam j. H.

So funny to see people blow themselves up repeatedly for no reason when they play characters who manage to have better keepaway (with one button) than Chris’s entire current arsenal, which is why it doesn’t really work on Wesker unfortunately. I kinda wish it worked on utterly predictable Dantes as well, but since that accursed Air Trick goes above AND behind you…

Also, I should probably learn Doom, especially if I was finally dicking around with Thor, since I played Chris/Dormammu/Haggar for the first three months, but then dropped it because Haggar sucks and is a terrible anchor. That Doom is getting unnecessarily better in UMvC3 is just more incentive: I don’t have a problem with playing top tier if it’s a character I actually like.

Oh, that. I’m pretty sure it only really happens when he’s K.O.'d by a super combo since he never loses his normal armor, that I’m aware of, when he’s actively up unlike the super armor bs where it happens at the end of the timer no matter what.

Yeah, just found out he doesn’t break out of normal armor. I don’t know shit about The King heheh.

Oh, I’m by no means an Arthur user myself. I’ve never even played any game in his series and Chris pretty much fulfills my niche for “low tier, failed zoning” character, especially since Mr. Redfield can take a beating. But, yeah, it’s pretty easy to confused by that stupid armor break since it doesn’t happen all the time (when he gets KO’d), especially if you don’t really use him (and very few people do for…multiple reasons).

Heh. Now I picture them giving Arthur a super where instead of Golden Armor, he turns into The King–R.I.P.–from Burger King and just gives everyone congestive heart failure by throwing Whoppers at them non-stop.

Too bad it still wouldn’t stop Dark Phoenix, especially with the video I’ve posted. Dark Phoenix has destroyed whole Whoppers, so what chance does he have?

I prefer going for the H finisher Combo Punch L. Granted, you can’t machine gun OTG after, but it really racks the other players nerves knowing you actually did it for the hell of it and can magnum into lvl3.

As for Doom… I want to learn him bad… Real bad. I just don’t have the patience y’know? I’ve spent so much time playing Chris that picking up anyone else feels like work work work. I get a loop going, drop it, end up remembering all those times I whiffed Machine Gun->5H, and immediately exit practice. I need motivation damnit!

wesker should have 950k health and the hitstun of gun in the air should be lowered. magnus and wolverine should be doing like 380k max dmg before supers (easy to land hits with). amy grab range has to be toned down. zero is ridiculous. and belive it or not dante needs inv frames on hammer it just needs to be cut in half and they should either limit the amount of times you can otg or change some of his special moves hitstun. hulk has enough options giving him 3 hits on C is too much. with the nerfs dr.doom, trish, and taskmaster should have been left alone(except peekaboo take off a sec or two and you can keep the bs properties or make it visible). for tatsu they should have made the assist start up slower and not make them bounce up so high. kind of like ryus tatsu assist.

Phoenix’s fireballs disappear on hit along with her various other nerfs.

While I wouldn’t put it past Capcom, I’ve gotten to the point where I believe nothing without video now.

What “wild” changes happened to Dante, besides the rekka change nothing amazing took place?Timing changes on his combos, a slightly slower tele’ (still does what it used to, just need a longer assist or you risk a reaction/prediction), s.H hitbox nerf… I must be forgetting some things.

Honestly curious since I stopped keeping up on this game.

Massive nerf to hammer invincibility if it has any at all, old default enders involving beehive no longer build pretty much any gauge or do pretty much any damage. Dante not building 2-3 gauges with a combo any more is a huge deal.

Speaking of this, did overall meter building get reduced in UMvC3? It feels to me like the meter gain isn’t as “generous” as it was in Vanilla.

And if Phoenix’s TK shots now disappear when she gets hit, THANK GOD for that nerf. It made no fucking sense why Sent’s drones and Dorm’s Stalker Flare disappeared on hit but Phoenix’s fireballs didn’t.

it’s still going to be both broken and annoying as fuck and THAT makes me smile.
