I like how everyone if missing that Phoenix also got one huge buff in the game. No one’s put it together yet, but it’s there.
You must have some shitty assist if someone can call sent drones all day long. LOL. Akuma’s tatsu is way more annoying than sent drones. Only way you can have that much of a problem with Sent drones is if you have no strong projectile based assist or character with a strong projectile/projectile super on point. Which if you don’t you’ve probably been having trouble playing this game for a long time.
That’s just an execution adjustment thing. If you land an infinite in XF3 with Felicia it’s braindead easy to keep it going and you’ll never drop. With some timing adjustment you can get consistent with her standard bnb’s even in level 3 XF. My brother plays Felicia as anchor and almost never drops the bnbs’s anymore. Plus even if he does with her speed increase she can easily put you in another 50/50 mix up that’s completely in her favor and kill you off that.

Are there people who are comparing the nerf situation to what happened to SSFIV? Dante would like to have a word with you.So would Viper and Doom.The only good characters I have seen get nerfs of any real consequence is PhX and Wolverine.And it isn’t like the other characters don’t have crazy shit, their shit is just out done by DPHX and Wolverines shit.It isn’t going to become a neutered snorefest just because the game gets less braindead and the top dogs are brought down a bit.

I don’t run into Hulks on PSN. I’m generally the only Hulk player I see, and even then I don’t play Hulk cause Skrull is NOT friendly online and Hulk is in my Skrull team.
I also haven’t played online in like… 2 months.
I personally think the Phoenix Nerf is a bit overboard. One air action severely limits her and less health just means I can pick dormammu and Completely air chip her before she even lands. Weskers health and teleport speed nerf were needed. He is to fast to strong has to many options and has way to much health. Tron and Haggar assist nerfs were needed they were pretty much brain dead combo breakers/starters especially haggars. Giving wolverine the new swiss cheese move was a clever way to disrupt button mashers so in effect it is a nerf. Removing the invincibility on his godly teleport (can logan teleport?) was a step in the right direction. Magnetos nerfs Dont even matter the new moves he got make his zoning game godly and there are a few characters who i would bet cant even get close to him at all now. If you thought Disrupta disruptah disruptaaa was bad get ready for Repulsaaa disruptaaa repulssaaa repulsaaa disruptaaaaa Grabbity cheese “You are defeated.” Dr Doom was bumped up at least to top tier. not like he was bad to begin with. Dante I dont even know where to start with this guy. He was nerfed but not really, People will just need a bit more execution and be a bit less brain dead. For people complaining about Hulks standing H getting buffed go kill yourselves. Hulks mashers always jump in with H switch to S for the overhead land and hit H. heres a hint you can toss him with anyone on the cast out of the ground H. The biggest gripe I ever had with the game was that there was such a large gap between top tier and low tier characters to the point where even if you are pro as hell you just cant win vs the top tier characters with lower tier characters. Try HisenKo vs Phoenix wolverine magneto hell even taskmater and tell me im lying. My second gripe is the ridiculous hitboxes in this game (Dante im looking at you) they really need to evaluate a lot of moves and where they hit and can be hit.
i’m looking forward to the nerf to bad players. the amounts of team with wolvie/akuma/sent really gets old. even though i like wesker and akuma i like how they are getting nerfed. i just wish storm would get some really good buffs

A huge buff too since the vast majority of the anti-phoenix strategies call for killing her in the air before transofmration so she can’t activate x-factor.
People Phoenix might not be nerfed into the depths of the ocean just yet.
You do know that she only has one air action and is forced to float down helplessly after an air fireball now. The air x factor thing might help her unless she decides to do anything but land,outside of that course of action id say shes pretty much dead weight now. Example. Phoenix superjumps “Tk Shot” me waiting on my victim as she aimlessly floats towards thor and cant do ANYTHING. Me Jump “Mighty Hurricane” … Crouching H, S, Jump M, M, H cancel M “Mighty Strike.” Adf L, L “Mighty Spark” Cancel “Mighty Torn… By Odins Beer Capcom has surely weakened poor Jean, she died in the middle of my combo.”
Im starting to think a a lot of the people in this thread don’t play fighting games.
You know I get this impression as well. Or at least don’t want to have to work to succeed at fighting games.
Or don’t play them very well. I personally believe removing a tool from a character in the sake of balance is punishing anyone who learned said character in the first place. However that is just my opinion. edited to add (Toning things down to an even scale is different removing them altogether is pretty lame)
Half this thread would’ve been laughed right out the door a couple of years ago.
