Removing the bullshit from this game will not make it any less fun. People who have grown accustomed to using bullshit to win will adapt or move on in a huff.

Things I think should be nerfed; (Note: Random things I hate that I know won’t be changed lol/rant)
[details=Spoiler]- Any character that is insanely strong for the little effort that character requires to play should be dumbed down (including who I play, Wesker). Its stupid that a char. like Wolv is so incredibly effective for the amount of practice/skill it requires to play him, compared to others.

Armor. Even though I’ve used Hulk/Sentinel myself, Hulk having 3 hits of armor on his H now + With the use of assist + frame traps + Online, makes it pretty freaking hard to attack these dudes. And I have yet to meet a Sentinel that did more than crouch M and jump S.

No shit, the fucking coin toss flip that incoming character Y against god knows how many fucking cross ups and over heads in the span of 3 seconds. Or lose when you do manage to land a hit because you know he is going to press “that” button only to get punished because 1 random feather happens to hit you and you then go into death combo by magic series. or I got chipped to fucking death blocking all of his nonsense because I used X Factor to kill charcter Y and mix up character Z into death. yes I fucking suck because I lost in a fucking coin toss game. congrats on your analysis of me fully knowing that blocking wont save you from DP. Oh it also doesn’t help when I tell him exactly how to beat what Im doing, or give him constant new things to try out so he can random me out. Congrats.
oh and for the ranom lv.3 x factor loss. Drop a relaunch combo with Zero only to get killed by a simple magic series for whiff animation. and then get randomed out becaue of an execution error. yes, i suck.

1/3 chance two directions are the same and multiple inputs can be put in and unless the person has a decent amount of meter it will not be up.
its actually less effective. everyone seemed to miss out on the most important change to this. TACS WILL HAVE A FUCKING GLOW, HOW DO YOU NOT LEARN IT AND COUNTER EVERY FUCKING GLOW CORRECTLY. if you have like 3 meters and above DO expect a left or right, if theres is empty expect a down, but the guess work is gone. considering the character will GLOW a COLOR.
I just want the damage lowered, but im like in the minority.
Well people are always doing things for themselves, thats nothing new. I’d like to think that people are rational enough to understand when their character has too much good shit and can accept nerfs, not completely character destryoing nerfs because I do think Phoenix should be good, just not stupid. You know that point when you’re playing a character and even you yourself are going “lol this is fucking dumb man”. Also I don’t blame people that use shit characters for feeling entitled to some compensation lol; unless it’s a tournament, you shouldnt have to need to use a character because the characters who you want to play as can’t do shit. Although I keep forgetting that THIS IS MAHVEL BABY so whatever man.

I actually edited saying ‘‘This includes nerfing Wesker’’ but the server keeps screwing my edits up. Also I hate Sentinel (Use him for assists, as you can see I swapped him out for Doom in my alt teams), BUT the point is, hes not top 5 nor is he that powerful by any means. Hell he’s free to most chars dude lol. /Instant overheads lets go.
Also don’t get me started on Dante. He’s not the braindead easy to play character as people make him out to be. Not Wolverine/Wesker/Phoenix/ LVL at least. (Keyword: Braindead) My Wesker in 30 minutes of practice got as effective as my Dante was after months of practice

And point 1 I meant; a basic l,m,h,s > J. m J.h (TAC X2) and use your third char to super/For E.G with Akuma does as much as a full Bold cancel heavy 100 hit Dante combo <:

On the combo front, yes. On the pressure front, no. It is just as easy as wolvie to pressure with dante.
Yea im not saying he’s a super hard character, but Wolvie for E.G has the same level of pressure + also easy, damaging combos. Combos are a big part of the game + Its way easier to mess up with Dante imo (in general). But im not arguing that Dante isn’t good or that he’s crazy hard to play with
Marvel should be based on how strong the character is in their respective universes. then the tier list would be Pheonix then anyone else. Except when playing in the chaos or dark dimensions then dorm kills you with a one jab unblockable move and shuma is the size of earth and wins as the round starts.
whether or not its Mahvel Baby, which is one of the stupidest things ive heard, no one should accept nerfs, because its not rational. Why should my options be sacrificed for the sake of some other dumb ass character (exception being SF4 because actual buffs don’t exist in that game)? I certainly don’t want a character to be nerfed for my characters sake, which happened in SF4.
Its not about learning to deal with it for me. If I really like a certain character im going to use him regardless of what is on screen. Play the game for fun, if you are crying about character X,The game should be about fun, however that fun is very subjective. Some people only have fun if they play some random character no one cares about, other peoples fun comes from overcoming dumb shit, and others like to break the game down and win using the smartest strategy. I don’t like that the characters I like to use are getting nerfed, and I don’t like that characters that other players use getting nerfed.
there are some obvious nerfs that I do agree with it, well there are more like fixes really. Like fixing hit boxes so that they don’t hit where they clearly shouldn’t. But even then im iffy about that.
why should a game become more bland for the sake of Hsein-Ko players? Just buff the character, somebody has to be top tier, might as well be the zombie. Its a win win if they buff shit characters like Hsein-Ko rather than nerf the ones I play.
Nobody was nerfed wih the exception of Phoenix.
Characters were toned down, however I will say that Capcoms solution to overpowered properties = health nerf, is an EPIDC FAIL. Capcom, the last thing Phoenix, Wesker and Sentinel needed were health nerfs.
Tbh that’s the one thing that they should be doing, agree completely. As we’ve already seen though, some characters have been nerfed and that’s what this thread is about.
Fixed. Wesker did need a bit of a health nerf. Phoenix and sentinel already die extremely fast, if anything sentinel should be up to 1.1mil.
I really only think that wolverine needed the nerf to his Berz slash, that crap is way too good.
Capcom can’t just buff up bad characters and expect the game to run well. Unless you really just want Hulk to run at the level of derpiness of Wolverine.
Sent’s health supposedly went down from 905K to 900K. It wasn’t as much of a nerf as much as rounding the number down to a more common health value.
You have to realized that in their series Wesker and Phoenix were near impossible to kill. So Wesker having a mil health isnt a big deal. Phoenix didnt need low health, her tradeoff for DP just doesnt really work the way it should. Maybe if they gave her normal health with the DP nerf I would be sufficed. They took her from being crazy (as Phoenix should be) to being unplayable, when all that was really a problem was the wall bounce on her M trap and lvl 3 Xfactor.
Wesker like Dante has obnoxious hitboxes, and his S hitbox is over his head and slightly behind him. His normals all have crazy priority
