the best nerf im looking to is the nerf to the over all player base to this game. you still are going to get shitted on by stupid stuff, and people like Viscant are still going to win this game.

This is a dumb thread. Nerfs shouldn’t be wanted, but BUFFS. I would much rather have a fun game than a balanced one.
Your making it sound like people are posting about nerfs they want or something, dudes are just talking about the nerfs-that are already announced-that they thought were necessary. If you think mvc 3 was perfectly balanced then good for you, but a lot of people don’t agree with that sentiment. When it was only mvc 3 we were dealing with I sucked it up and dealt with what we were given, now that umvc 3 is actually coming out, Im simply commenting on the changes I think were necessary.
Slower air dashes for Magneto isn’t a nerf lol, if anything it’s a buff as it gives him better tri jumps.
The saltiest thing about UMvC3 so far is obviously Hulk’s standing :h: getting buffed.

It would be cool if Wolverine gets a health nerf down to 850,000 but have it so that his health regenerates slowly either on it’s own or with meter usage

Nerfing characters is just removing options from the game really. I see no reason to be happy about that. All that does is open the door for one charater to rise and be THE dominate S-tier character of the game. Everyone els just ends up sucking. Removing stuff that makes characters really good just makes things end up like Brawl and AE honestly. Those games are ass because you can’t play. Everyone sucks and has no options save like 3 characters lol.

I completely get what you mean, and I do agree in some regards, its never fun for a character to lose tools as it hurts the overall game. But so far I don’t think anyone has lost any actual tools, I mean magnetos disruptor is nerfed but he still has it and he got a new move to bolster his zoning game anyway, wolvies berserker slash is a little less ridiculous, but it still looks like a good mix-up tool, and for all we know swiss cheese might turn out to be a good assist(if he gets it as an assist). Wesker lost health, but he still capable of doing everything he could do in vanilla, except now he just can’t take as many hits. I totally get what you mean and you might be right in the long run and the game ends up like AE, or it could end up like super with a less obvious S tier.
And I love how Gamma Haters are all getting High Cholesterol over it.

Akuma’s Hurricane Kick:
People talk about how mindless it is to use Hulk’s standing :h:, this is just as mindless! When the game came out, all you had to do was tie 2 Hurricane Kicks together xx Air Hyper Gohadoken, and 75% of your health, GONE! This needed the Nerf Bat. -

I can’t tell you how many times this actually beat out my Hulk’s air :s:. Seriously, he’s the Swiss Army Knife of MvC3, he has over 40+ Special moves and THIS is his best Anti-Air!? NERF HIM! -
Phoenix, only one Special Move per jump.
It’s predictable, and nearly mindless. After Dark Phoenix Transformation toss 3 air homing fireballs, teleport down. One of the only reliable counters to this is to use Doom Missiles with Hulk’s Gamma Crush. Maybe it’s me being salty, but I would think the Galaxy’s most powerful entity could be a little more hands on instead of spamming fireballs, teleports & light attacks.
I will say this though, I wish her health was buffed up to 700K. Jean Grey was never the “fragile” type in Marvel Comics, and she clearly has a few moves that show she isn’t strict runaway. Plus, I’d like to start off a match with her without worrying a simple BnB will put her under.
my 14 year old cousing who knows that he has no buisness beating me beats me 50% of the time with XF Lv.3 Pheonix. None of his other characters are a single issue nor threat, and neither is his pheonix. That whore comes out and he wins about half the time. I also lose to random XF Lv.3 bullshit all the time to. Game is still fucking fun.
I think the game is fun too, XF3 Dark Phoenix isn’t fun though. There’s bullshit and then there’s BULLSHIT, Logan + Akuma take the former while DPH takes the latter. I can take bullshit and still have fun while all BULLSHIT does is make me go :eek:o_O:(>:(:lame:.

Assists: Akuma’s assist was way to good and fast. Tron and Haggar’s were so unfair, and Sentinel’s just lasted far too long. People call sentinel drones, and they get a ridiculous amount of time to mix up. And even if they fail, you cant do anything since your stuck blocking and then they just call it again and again all match
. I would honestly love it if you could only call assists during combos :P. -
Phoenix: I think the health nerf was unnecessary but the fireballs needed fixing.

I learned to like it and love it because I learned that my characters have more bullshit and better bullshit. Only one who has more of it is DP. People get mad because they feel so entitled. why do I have to work and he doesn’t? Why is it so brain dead? Why do i have to input more buttons than he does? Why can’t I use [insert name] with [insert name]? You can tell by the general attitude of this thread that, that, is the issue. Entitlement, not unfairness, or a balance issue but entitlement. people don’t really care about balance, they care about their needs and wants and its just hidden behind a facade supposed balance issues.
Let me put it one more way, MvC3 had more variety top 32 than SFAE.
