Depends on what your team is. It has to be done in the corner and early in the combo but it’s possible with Wolverine’s tornado claw assist and Akuma’s tatsu assist.
What are some of the best(most reliable ways) to extend combos with sentinel assist(drones)? I have been using million carrots, just wondering what everyone else uses. Looking for midscreen and or corner options Thanks!

Yes. After a hard knockdown you do :a1:(Viewtiful Joe) :dp: :qcf::uf:. Beehive will come out if try to do the motion for ice too quickly. You should be able to get a second Million Carats if you catch them with :f::h: (Bold Cancel) :qcf:. It’s fairly difficult, I don’t have the execution to do it consistently yet. Gunshot loops after the first million carats would be more practical. Mid screen you will have to use :a1:(Viewtiful Joe) :dp: (jump cancel) j.:s:
I am trying to learn Dante, and I’m having combo troubles. The vanilla combo thread isn’t very effective, since Dante keeps pushing the opponent back too far. And all the combos on this thread use bold cancel, which I’m not able to do, yet. I think I pulled one off once. (yes, I read all the bold cancel threads here, and I’ve watched 4 or 5 youtube tutorials, and I’m practicing…it’s just not there yet)
So…
- Is there something I can do to make the vanilla combos work?
- If not, are the combos out there that do NOT use bold cancel? Because I can’t seem to find any.
You CANT learn Dante if you dont bold cancel. Dante is not as scrubby as he was in Vanilla.
I suggest you don’t pick him until you can BC consistently.

Sorry to be a dick but there is almost no reason to play Dante if you can’t bold cancel, because not only is that what is fun about him but it is required for big damage and bold cancel less combos are a waste.
The trick is the second you hit forward heavy which is just hitting :h: then just hold forward :h: and as soon as you click :h: just do :l::s: and while your doing the :l::s: do a :qcf: (don’t let go of :f: so when you do the :qcf: it comes out as a :dp:) and as soon as you finish the :qcf: you should have enough time to do the .
I thought the timing was impossible because I was doing it step by step but the trick is just to cancel everything into each other. You don’t even need to be fast.

oh, forgot to mention that it will work on everybody in XF level 1. It’s probably not the most damaging option you can do, but it looks cool so why the hell not.
I recently picked up Umvc3 again and use Dante,Sentinel,Akuma can anyone give me a BnB execution isn’t an issue.
I thought it worked on Captain America too.
Stinger > Reverb Shock does more damage than Volcano~Beehive does at minimum scaling, so I would assume that Million Carats > Reverb Shock does even more.
Does Volcano~Beehive > Million Carats > Reverb Shock work on a larger portion of the cast?
Yeah, I know I’ve seen it work on Captain America, but I couldn’t get it for the life of me. That was Vanilla, but I don’t see why it would be different now.
I didn’t try it on everybody, but it didn’t seem to make a difference on the few I did. There were a few characters were it really looked like Reverb Shock was connecting, it just wasn’t registering as a hit. Maybe ground bounce first would give that little bit of lift for it to work. I’ll have to check it out later.
Dude there are soooooooooo many good combos with tatsu and drones assist. I’d link you some but there are really too many. I’d recommend checking out all the pages of this thread, the last 5 or 6 of the other dante thread, and the video thread. It’s a lot of work I know but the combos you’ll find will really make it worth while. I’ll start you out with one but you really need to find the rest.

Sheeyet I can’t get the timing on the dash up :s: I can never land it. Can someone break down the timing for me?
When you do Volcano j.H Airplay j.H the trick is to do the second j.H really late/low and buffer the dash before/as you land. It’s pretty easy once you get it.

When ever in the past I’d run Dante and Doom, I always had missiles assist. but I’m on this Plasma Beam kick now and I was wondering what you guys recommend after calling beam and teleporting when the beam hits. Thus far I just hit jH on the way down, land and MHS launch. Seems pretty ABC123 and was wondering either if there’s better, OR what’s good to do off that launch.
Even on that, sj H xx killer bee whiffs sometimes. I can live with the Plasma-port setup not leading to big damage or combos, but then I guess I have to figure out some good resets from that situation. Thanks!!
Hey what’s the best options for Dante after a TAC? Usually I see people just do hammer.
