Ultimate Dante Combo Thread. Jackpot! Yeah baby!

Excellent thanks a lot man. I’m not that well versed in Dante’s DT combos, so I hadn’t messed with that as much as I should have. And yeah that’s like 1 hit away from being level 5 if you use Jam Session for the double picture. I’ll definitely mess with the thunderbolts more. It’s actually pretty useful for Mag/Dante/Frank because Mag can burn meter liberally and always give chainsaws, and you can DT on reaction to get levels.

I’m assuming that it’s known that Dante can convert off of his ground back throw (opponent in corner) in xf2/3… is there any way to kill really fast off of that situation that i’m not aware of? All i have so far is tbolt loops and that runs like 45% of xf3 time just to kill thor. Of course, not everyone has “Thor” health, but time is still a concern since I run anchor dante a majority of the time.

is there something that’s more damaging at a faster rate? I’m only asking because I’ve run into this situation funnily enough more than a few times. I don’t think it’s anything I should truly worry about but I suppose it’s worth asking

The DT Million Carats+Volcano/Beehive loop hits 1.25m pretty quickly, haven’t tested off throw. Can’t test right now, but if you can OTG Volcano in your situation, you can go for it.

that entire combo does over 1.25m (1.3something to be exact if you add the air m) and leaves me with somewhere between 45 and 40% XF3 time.

I won’t be able to test your suggestion right now since it’s kinda late but I’ll check it out tomorrow.

I’m not sure, but that does seem a bit slow, since the high damage part is toward the end of the combo. Try dropping the Cold Shower xx Stinger altogether and go directly into Million Carats xx DT after the Hammer.

I would just do hammer -> Carats -> Volcano~beehive, j.S, Crystal and go into shot loops from there. Leaves you midscreen for better mixups as well. Shot loops are always the fastest damage in XF. You likely won’t be getting too many ground throws with dante solo in XF, and even then, don’t worry about speed too much. Don’t stress that specific situation too much.

Yeah it’s not something I run into often but I have like 5 times for whatever reason last week. I’ll try y’alls alternative methods tonight

Anyone got decent extensions using Cold Star, particularly late in a combo? I’ve found some stuff with low hitstun, and using it to combo off a front throw in the corner. Otherwise it’s kind of a shitty combo assist… I think. Prove me wrong pls!

I don’t play Ammy but the best i could find is:

crLMH stinger bc volcano> jhxx airplay> S~H(10 shots) >stinger bc teleport>hammer>call Ammy>million carrats>JAD S>volcanoxxbeehive>volcanoxxbeehivexx million dollars (~718k)
Seems that if you do prop shredder in the combo,or more shot loops they will fall from cold star.

Would learning shot loops help me reach 900K? I haven’t learned it yet so I don’t know any estimates on how much damage it may add or if it’ll work before lv.2 stinger with Missile.

Anyone got some Dante/Rocket Racoon Spitfire Twice assist extensions? I’m especially in need of extensions that let me get skydance to reset my groundbouce for Vergil.

Shot loops wont help much in the corner unless you learn the two max shot reps after a corner ground bounce.

That being said tho, you should still get to learning shot loops. Not because they add style, damage, and meter but because they help with confirms. Once you’re comfortable with them, air juggle confirms are just a matter of getting your opponent at the right distance for shot loops. Then you can Stinger BC Teleport to get to the corner from anywhere.

I’ve seen ShadyK do a basic corner carry extension with Rapid slash where, from a knockdown state, he calls Vergil (and/then) does Cold Shower, then he teleports as Vergil whisps them away, and then does a jS facing the corner. Every time I try this, I end up facing away from the corner and miss. I tried to compensate by just Hammering instead, since you can ‘auto-correct,’ but the Hammer tends to miss in this situation.

Any idea how that’s being timed? Seems very basic, yet I’m missing something timing-wise.

Call Vergil and Cold shower at the same time. Only do two shots of cold shower, then stinger BC teleport. Works for me everytime, unless there is too much hitstun decay in the combo

I’m getting damn near close to optimizing this team.
Still working on raw tags and killing without having to dhc to vergil but I need some swag.
Maybe even dante solo swag that does at least 700k.

Anyone know a good combo to corner carry without burning a wall bounce? Messing around with Dante + X23(CS) and I think I can do late combo non-DT TAC if I have corner and wall bounce.

Hard knockdown > dfHHxxStingerxxBC+X23xxAcid Rain, Acid Rain, s.S, sj. iad HxxTAC. It times so that the 2nd acid rain fills the gap between the sj.H and TAC. Not sure how consistent it is yet, though. Anyone looked into anything similar?

You like Hawk for this team? I prefer Hawk as an anchor, I prefer arrows for Vergil and even Wesker, but for Dante the disruptahs beam-iness seems to be much more ‘correct.’ Would love to be proven wrong, though, for sure.

As to your question, most of his best solo stuff is littered in this thread. I recommend reading the last 5 pages of it and see if you’re still lacking what you need. (My dante isn’t swaggy at all, so my answer isn’t as lazy as it appears. Lol)
