am i starting off right guys? i’m really beginning to fit dante in with my secondary team(not the one in the video)

Looks good (ESPECIALLY since you were omitting prop shredder) but you’re missing opportunities towards the second half. I also use missiles on my Dante squad and I’ve found that it scales the combo pretty badly from there so it’s best to use that time to setup for something that causes REAL damage such as his unscaled “million carats” or into a TK sky-dance > Volcano/Beehive for the ground-bounce reset.

So basically your second combo for instance. To further optimize I would stop after shot loops where you BC your stinger towards the wall while calling Doom (that took a quick min to learn for me originally lol) then (depending on your distance from the wall):

If Teleport Is Needed: Midscreen 1

  • ) …BC > teleport > Hammer > F. Box-Dash M/L > Volcano > j.M (as missiles connect to lift opponent higher) > Skydance > Beehive > Stinger > Jet Stream (on norm/small char) /OR/ Stinger > Beehive (on larger char) > Million Dollars.

If Teleport Is NOT Needed: Midscreen 2

  • ) …BC > F. dash > (max distance) S/Hammer > (possible delay farther from wall) Volcano > j.M (as missiles connect to lift opponent higher) > Skydance > Beehive > Stinger > Jet Stream (on norm/small char) /OR/ Stinger > Beehive (on larger char) > Million Dollars.

(and if you end up in the corner by then…)

If Teleport Is NOT Needed: Corner

  • ) DON’T CALL DOOM YET.…BC > Million Carats (hold back AWAY from the wall as long as possible) > Stinger + Assist (Doom) > BC > Jet Stream > Fireworks > (basically a delayed) TK Skydance (…although I prefer to SJ > (instant) Skydance) > Beehive > Stinger > Jet Stream AGAIN /OR/ Stinger > Beehive (on larger char) > Million Dollars.

I dont know if this is already posted on this thread but whats the best combo to do after magnetos beam assist hits since the beam puts them into a juggle state I cant bold cancel. So whats the best combo to do?

It is dependant, 10 pages ago i posted about how easy is to Stinger+Disruptah into BC Hammer , but if it is from a ‘‘random’’ hit it is s.M>s.H>s.S>sj.M>sj.H>killler bee>shoot loops>rest of the combo, it is also possible to do s.M>s.H>cr.H(1 hit)>Volcano>j.H>airplay>combo, but it is more finicky.

So guys, new Dante player here. Wondering if someone could post up Dantes optimal hit confirms / whatever combos I SHOULD know? I have pretty good execution so dont worry about posting something that might overwhelm a new player.

I know this may be asking a lot, but I would really really appreciate it a lot and it would be a great help. Thanks guys

i know that for the most part that any hit you land you’re going to want to confirm into clay pidgeon loops. there’s two variations to this loop being that you can either mash heavy or tap it and @momochuu explains it well enough and gives some decent enough examples of how you can confirm into them in her tutorial.

What should I be using for j.s/hammer starter? Also, Are there practical acid rain loops, and are they possible midscreen? or corner only?

for the 8S/hammer starter i recommend doing what momo did in the tutorial video, which was;

8S or Hammer > Volcano > 8 M H xx Airplay falling H [land] S into clay pidgeon loop x4-5

there are plenty of practical setups that go into acid rain which are all possible midscreen and corner solo but for that, imho you can look them up yourself. then you can either watch them/favorite/or download to your hdd and see which ones you feel most comfortable with in training mode as bnbs.

i only say this because that’s how i started out with using this character at first. afterwards i come here only when i need help with specific stuff

Fair enough. What should I be trying to hit damage wise. Where does Dante cap out (generally) without DT.

Just a random thing I just saw/realized that could be useful. This might be common knowledge but I never actually utilized this with the Twins, and I have seen players use a ground bounce when they didn’t always need to.

If you play Dante/Vergil and you hit your opponent with a hammer (or HKD) midscreen and you have 1 bar on the dot. After Volcano/Beehive you can just do a TK Sword dance for that extra bar. At least for my team its the perfect 100~105% meter building.

You can also do Cold shower + Vergil > Stinger > teleport but its somewhat inconsistent for me. Not sure if useful but its something that can be kept in mind

Yea it was found very shortly after the first infinites. Not sure how legit or tough it is though.

Umm the first thing you said if what you’re suppose to do, followed by a assist extender if you have one. I don’t even know if that second thing you said is possible.

Hit confirm > Stinger > BC Volcano > JC j.H xx Air Play > falling j.H > Launch > clay pigeon > prop shredder > SJ Hammer > Cold Shower > Stinger BC Teleport > Hammer > OTG Hammer~Beehive > Jetstream~Fireworks xx Million Dollars

Are these optimal for the most part? (Im going to start looking into Acid Rain loops tonight, hopefully I can net a little more damage off those)

Im trying to figure out his best solo combos. Im assuming that these are them, outside of Devil Trigger. Speaking of which, Does anyone have any practical / useful Devil Trigger combos ?

what are some good TAC combos for Dante? Not Devil Trigger.

I’m looking for one that’ll let me setup the hard knockdown skydance so I can hard tag to Frank and take a picture … I’d imagine the TAC would be stuff into the sky dance that lets me connect a lightning legs, dash back S~H, stinger, BC skydance into hard knockdown, tag Frank, get levels

is that possible from all three direction TACs or just up & down?
iirc Rikir had a good vid of optimized Dante TACs but I can’t find it right now

What are some optimal xfc 2 combos? I generally use Volcano~Beehive/jS/Crystal loops while in xfc 3, but what should I so when in level 2?
