To be fair, off anti air or Hammer confirms going for shot loops is a very good idea considering the risk for damage reward ratio. I’m currently practicing them in training mode before taking them to a real match, but simply using 2 reps into Reverb xx Fireworks xx Super does pretty decent damage(500k~ before and 700k~ after). More than 2 reps and it gets tighter and tighter, but doing them twice is not that bad, oh and shot loops are like a 10f link infinite that does a shit ton of damage in XFactor really fast, so I recommend people pick it up for their XF2/3 combos. My team itself does not allow for me to extend Dante’s bnbs, so the only way for me to optimize damage is through shot loops too. I mean the link itself is not that tight if you do full shots, it’s like a 2-3 f link I think.
but even 3-4 loops of hammer does the same damage as the normal B&B (not the Cold Shower one)
Shot loops help a lot with corner carry without using your wallbounce, and honestly doing 3-4 shot loops->reverb shock fireworks->super is incredibly easy.
So uh…I’m sure everyone knows that Dante can link a volcano (or cold shower) after back throw in XF3 if the opponent was cornered. Anyone have a good combo for killing off of that? I messed around in training mode for about an hour and all I got was
volcano->j.S->teleport->twister xxDevil Triggerxx->st.S->sj.H->thunderbolt x2->airdash thunderbolt->j.S->fly->thunderboltx5.
1 mil damage, but I don’t think it’s very efficient (uses a little less than 1/2 of your XF3 time Q_Q). Idk, I’m just looking cool shit cause I’m bored.
Any ways I was thinking about a certain combo situation that comes if you play the super sparda bros. When you do stinger + rapid slash and bc teleport if the rapid slash hits your combo options are kinda limited so I was trying various things and got grapple to link and hits stun is fine you can prop shredder after the grapple I go for acid rain x 2 jm hammer.
Personally I tried shot loops but I found it isn’t the best angle for it and couldn’t get it to work unless yo do S jh killer bee back dash (s~h) x what ever you can get even then damage isn’t that great. I like to finish with a grapple mix up instead after the hard knock down with hammer doing the usual cold shower stinger bc grapple to set em up all you guys that run rappid slash low assist can get an unblockable after about 328k damage going my route it ain’t a lot but it’s something I guess.
edit I got 425k after rapid slash - grapple - s - jh -killer bee- back dash S~H 2 shot x 3 and then a 10 shot to stinger in to js then volcano beehive before super.
A grapple setup: Hammer>Volcano>j.M(Call Vergil)>j.H>Beehive(if done correctly you will not use the ground bounce because it won’t touch the ground)>Grapple, great if you are in midscreen and doesn´t use wall or ground bounce, very basic, but looks coll when you grapple your opponent after rapid slash.
It also should work in the normal B&B but usually you will end in the corner and there are better options to combo in the corner, this is only if you don’t want tou use loops,wall or ground bounce.

as far as mid screen bnbs go after the prop shredder hammer I do cold shower + rapid slash then teleport jS then cold shower stinger and they’re in the corner best carry in the game it’s insane. literately on end of the screen to the other.
Also you can do it when you are using gun loops, when you are doing the last one call vergil and teleport hammer, there are like tons of different combos with assists, with 40+ moves creativity should not be a problem for Dante players.
Also Combo>s.H+Vajra>s.S>Million Catarats>etc. does great damage, especially if you have done less than 10 hits, it is way better than the usual Hard Knockdown>call strider>Million Catarats(or twister)>etc.
Whats the max damage someone has done without Devil Trigger or X-factor no assist in a combo? don’t care if it is a hammer or a normal BnB.
I think the assist that let dante deal the most damage are drones missiles and vajera. Try this corner combo m h stinger + vajera bc volcano jc volcano strider hits volcano neutral jh air play jh S+doom missiles jh killer bee S tk acid rain x 2 or 3 jm hammer volcano bee hive super hits stun is to high for wall bounce. I don’t use strider so this is a theory combo
I think I got to 720 (with million dollar) but I only try combo that are at least semi practical (aka 4 shots loop after hammer). Got enough problem with the basic not to trouble myself with the non practical one.
btw, do we know any better combo combine DT (i.e trigger it in mid combo) which actually worth it ?
Well Devil Trigger adds like 200k if you use it at the start of a combo, it is worth if your dante is anchor or have a bad DHC.

I think he means if you do any combo that’s bnb level and up it’ll add to about 200k if you dted at it’s start it’ll just take your meter gain from the combo it’s good practice if you run lets say a team like Dante, Wesker strider your dhcs are ass to the max power. First char you go for a combo that ends in an unblockable reset if you get the reset you don’t even need to use meter to kill most of the time.Next char you should be close to 5 metters so you can do a dt welcome mix up, acid rain or million carets dt vajera teleport. If it hits you get a hard knock down in to a shot loop or corner bnb for like close to or over the 900k mark because of the damage boost. This team should be called resets lol.
Not exactly, i meant that if in the beginning you use something like Hammer>Million Catarats>DT>Million Catarats, does a great amount of damage, because DT cancels the recover of Million C and lets you keep the combo going, but i agree that if you play Wesker/Dante/Strider the only good dhc is Dante because you know he does around 200k everytime, legion or wesker phantom dance are too random sometimes.
I’m running Dante/Strange/Wesker so I’ve got one DHC.
I’m gonna test soon (hopefully today) combo of L M H Stinger Reverb Shock DT -> something. (gonna test B&B, Shot loops, or even Hammer B&B), Since when I’m not sure about my spacing (excusing my scrubiness) I tent to go for Reverb Shock into HHHH, if by going into to DT instead and with 2 bar get a kill (or close enough) It will be quite a nice option to know for converting of it. I’ve tested Shots loop after Hammer > Million Carats > DT > shot loops but I didn’t get quite satisfying results with that.
One more thing (It’s double but on different subject)
What do you use for resets?
The only option I know for a good reset (aka you don’t risk yourself dying) is midscreen grapple. In the corner I’m quite clueless as I’m not sure how to do grapple reset there, and I don’t really know any other valid reset.
BTW for DT ender if you want to drop the Million Dollar you do (last kd) Volcano > Beehive (ground bounce) > Million Carats > DT > fly > thunders?
Some times when i end with Sky Dance in the corner and leave them in that LONG bouncing state, i set up acid rain to force them to block and go for a mixup: set up Acid Rain> Teleport>Call Wesker>Airdash>j.H
or The Million Catarats>DT setup , it is very ambiguos, and with a low assist sometimes is almost unblockable.
Haven’t used much DT enders, though yours seems good, when i want to kill i go for X-Factor and thunderbolts, it does ridicoulous great damage, sometimes i just prefer to use a bar if that will kill, but also going for a reset is a great idea, because of the 2 airdashes and being able to fly cancel give Dante more layers when doing mixips after Acid Rain.
Think of Acid Rain Like pseudo-Hidden Missiles.
