Ultimate Dante Combo Thread. Jackpot! Yeah baby!

That tutorial is great, i watched it some time ago, The Acid Rain, Vajra and Grapple are some of the best resets Dante has.

basically for grapple it’s stinger lv2 bc grapple it’s really easy in this game because you just have to eye ball when they hit the wall and hit the second heavy
do it like your doing a volcano cancel just don’t hold forward and let the stick, pad go neutral before the quarter circle forward. if you run wesker this is awesome because it gives you an unblockable as soon as you recover from the animation call wesker and box jump heavy or mid.

I’m just not used enough to notice if they try to hard tag (I manage to block and punish, but my confirm is lacking so I miss the convert when I expect hard tag).

Those are some cool stuff, but a lot of them require one of the two, Respect or Vajra, no one gives respect in my scene so…
The Acid Rain seems nice, and it doesn’t sacrifice to much damage, but I will probably need to alter my B&Bs for that. I guess it won’t work of Volcano > Beehive?
The invisible reset seems nice, although you sacrifice once combo worth of damage, it might be enough for a kill with proper DHC. which is cool.

Btw, I will check it (soon…) but is there any reason why you can go for B&B with Air play, and in the finish do Volcano > Beehive > back dash (or not) and then some shots loops before finishing with Reverb Shock > Firework
I guess that if no one mentioned it then it because the combo is too long for that (although I did see Yipes do something alike but I can recall exactly what was going on there). Maybe in DT it will be possible to extends the combo a little longer.

you can’t do shot loops at the end of a combo because a launcher won’t cause enough hitstun for clay pigeon to connect. otherwise it would be an infinite

I don’t want infinite, Just 2-3 loops like Strange’s FoF and Mag’s Hyper Grab loops :frowning:

Any ways taking your info on converting shot loops in to rapid slash I finally bit the bullet and came up with a combo only works as a corner approach so far so mid 3/4s away max so here goes. m, h Stinger bc Volcano jm, jh Airplay jh, h, (S ~ H) x 2 or 3, S+ rapid slash, CP 2 shot teleport jS, cold-shower - Stinger lv2 jS, Volcano - Beehive - Stinger + doom missiles - Jet-stream - Fireworks (missiles hit) Sky-dance- Reverb-shock - Fireworks - Million dollars 825k before vergil DHC with ground bounce.

As far as strongest solo combo with out assists x factor or dt it’s the ultimate bnb on the front page with shot loops plunged in skipping the prop shredder section the rest is the same. Corner wise you go for the killer-bee corner combo ending in a sky dance to reset the ground bounce and extend to a long ground bounce ender or beehive jet-stream ender.

Hammer>Call viper Burning K.>Volcano>TK Million Catarats>st.S>j.H>Killer Bee>st.H+Call Vajra>st.S>TK Million Catarats>Backdash st.S~H>Stinger>BC Hammer>Volcano~Beehive>Million Dolars Does like 920k Damage with one bar and is practical and easy to do.

Also my 1,030,000 damage combo with DT for those who lack good DHC’s and have Vajra, this is ideal if you are only left with Dante/Strider and obviously DHCing is not good:

Hammer>Million Catarats>DT>Million Catarats>st.S>j.H>Killer Bee>st.H+Call Vajra>st.S>TK Million Catarats>Backdash st.S~H>Stinger>BC Hammer>Volcano~Beehive>Million Dolars.

This are simplier version without loops or Sky Dance into Beehive, though they can be replaced in the combos in the DT one is contraproducent because you are not building any bar and doing less damage.

Can you tell how much it will do without Strider? (doesn’t seems to add too much though). Only need to see if i can get Million Catarats>DT>Million Catarats>st.S

Strider lets you use another Million Catarats, that is why he adds decent damage, without the strider assist it is like 920k damage.

Isn’t it better to do “:a2:st.:s:TK:qcf::m:~:m:st.:s:” earlier in the combo? like right after the first two :qcf::m:~:m: when the damage scaling isn’t as high, with strider.

Edit: Just curious, I still haven’t tried doing any other Dante combos other than his solo bnb’s yet.

Any tips on building a meterless combo meant to build meter using Phoenix Overdrive assist? Disruptor as well. Making a new team!

call Phoenix + Volcano -> j.S
as a combo extension. Offhand, i dont think you’ll get anything super fancy w/ Phoenix assists, nor with estaka.

Shots loops are not Dante’s Holy Grail.
I’ve finally came to test some versions of it, and it really doesn’t worth, even the meter gain is not that good.
Some time it did even less damage the the B&B (tested on DT combos, B&B air play combos, hammer into airplay combos).
I think I will upload something soon to show it.

I really though that learning Shots loop will really upgrade Dante’s damage :frowning:

(Maybe I miss something there anyhow…)

Show me another way to break 750K+ solo on one meter without a corner carry for Sky Dance knockdown/Acid Rain + Volcano stuff while building almost one more full meter (~1.7 meters built) and I’ll eat any crow served. (I steal everything for my Dante after all. :rofl:)

Hmm, I tend to stop after 4 loops as it is as far as you can stretch the same delay between S and H. Need to check how much the other 2 reps add (with more shots to get the correct height).
It might still be too much without breaking any critical limit (like kill 900K char or not with 1-2 bars) although 770 might just be it with the right DHC

Don’t forget that it’s without assist extensions, which could easily bump you up to 2 bars built with even the most basic extensions.

Assists add roughly the same for any version.

btw, any extend with Strange’s Bolts? (no option to change for EoA)

I’m playing with ending the Dante DT’d TAC combo with a Sky Dance (hit or whiff) just to see if there’s anything fun you can go into once you hit the ground. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions to check upon landing?

1.Hard tagging in other characters after skydance because Dante’s scaling is ass.

2.Running out the DT so that you can build meter again.

Two things…

1.) Anyone know how to cold shower xx stinger (bold move) sky dance while staying on the same side in the corner? I keep ending up in the corner instead. It isn’t much of an issue, just wondering.

2.) Is it me or is it harder to combo Frank with the BNB? After jump cancelling volcano, the j.H seems to push him further then usual, ultimately resulting in the launcher missing sometimes.
