Solo combo >.>
the forums haven’t changed! lol
Yeah, so requires Vajra…
Trolling aside it’s probably something like this, but it requires two bars which is not totally uncommon. There are Level 3 combos that do about a million, but if I had to guess that’s not what you meant.
MH Stinger BC Devil Trigger Volcano j.H Airplay j.H [st.S~H]x3 st.S~HHHHH Stinger BC Teleport Hammer Volcano Beehive Million Dollars
811k
Take out the Devil Trigger and that’s your standard BnB at around 720k. If you actually like respectable damage with solo Dante you need to learn shot loops. There’s also another two bar hammer combo that cracks 910k.
Dante can TOD the entire cast solo no XFactor for 5 Bars. Below is the combo I came up with for his solo TOD.
Edit* Off hammer confirms you can either omit everything before Million Carats, or you can still do the Volcano J.S xx Million Carats for a little more damage.
for how many shot loop can you go after hammer?
Lets say something like
hammer - > 623M JC BC 236A (S mash C)xN 6C (stinger) BC 22S hammer 623BB Million dolar.
and how much damage will it get? I mean my current hammer combo is about 500k meter-less, so it should add at least another 100k to worth it.
So as tough as Dante’s combos seem to get down all one can get out of it without Devil Trigger and/or XFactor is 720k?? -_-
Besides just being stylish that seems like a lot for nothing,I was hoping I’d learn to Bold Cancel consistently and then main a BnB that nets me close to 800k like Deadpool
Well, the main objective to playing Dante in general is to land resets and build meter for the rest of your team, dealing HEAVY damage only comes 2nd and is necessary only if you really need to ToD a character that’s giving you trouble or if you are playing solo Dante. and being able to dish out a lot of damage can be easy with Dante on point considering all the meter he builds, you can just use it to DHC into multiple hypers, that’s where about half to most of your real damage is going to come from at the end of Dante’s combos, after you kill the character just raw tag Dante back in or keep whatever character you DHC’d in on point for the incoming mixup.
yeah, what StEpSz said
Dante’s only going to do good damage off an optimal hit i.e. not scaled by assists or Acid Rain. Then you’d have to go into your optimal combo, which is in most cases not 3CC > Prop Shredder, unfortunately
Dante can build just over 3 levels of meter in one combo; assist dependent, naturally. I haven’t actually looked into it, but I think the best way to build meter is with Sky Dance > Killer Bee loopage. (apparently ‘loopage’ isn’t a word according to the red squiggly line, but fuck it.) Doing that also takes a long fucking time, which is great for burning out XF (or even your own DT, so you can keep building meter afterwards, lol)
In short, it’s more about the meter than the damage, because Vanilla Dante + Vergil would’ve been broken
what are dante’s good combos off of TAC? can anyone help me out?
Dante can do a TAC infinite, but other than that can’t really get too much (at least compared to Doom) off of a TAC.
Unrelated, I was messing around with corner combos off of 5M/2M earlier, and you can do this with Hidden Missiles:
:h::f::h: xx BC :f::d::df:
, j:s:, :f::d::df:
, j:h: xx j.:d::df::f::l:, backdash :s: xx :h: xx f:h: xx Bold Move, j:d::df::f::h:, :d::df::f::l::l:, :f::d::df:
, call Hidden Missiles + j:s:, j:h:mash, missiles hit, dash under TK j:d::df::f::h:, :f::d::df:
(only beehive), f:h: xx BC :f::d::df:
xx :d::df::f::atk::atk:
EDIT: Does 820k
didn’t get this part
I’m guessing hard knockdown from Sky Dance, acid rain, then volcano.
I try shot loop, but I keep droping the 3rd rep (the S just won;t connect the 3rd time)
I do it like that:
j.:qcf: :l::l: ,:qcf:, :qcb::atk::atk:, (:s: mash :h:)x3 :f::h: BC :d::d::s: hammer, ender.
any idea how much damage it worth (I keep droping the 3rd rep) with 2 rep it nets around 700K with million dollar in the end.
which is quite bad when my bnb does 680K with 1 bar…
Can’t test it in-game atm, but by calculation it does 597k before million dollars; this assumes that DT remains through the entire thing though. If that’s true and it expires right at million dollars, it does 779k fully mashed.
Also I think that you shouldn’t be fully mashing shots during the loop; just hit H once for the two shots and continue that way. Unless only the first hit of shots affects scaling, the damage will actually be worse if you do a full mash than if you just hit H once.
Also yeah sky dance, land acid rain, otg with volcano.
Is “DHC glitching” into Devil Trigger (corner) with Drones available for extension worth it? still have GB and WB to use.
or should I just Dollars?
DHC Glitching with Dante is ass regardless of how his combos themselves ignore hitstun scaling, he does no damage at all with that 5% minimum scaling, stick with Million dollars and take that 200k damage. What team are you using btw Kanta, and what kind of DHC glitch are you setting up? If it’s Magneto into Dante, it’s 100% not worth it, the DHC alone does 400k+, whileas a DHC glitch will give you barely no damage at all( you can use EMP loop to raw tag in Dante to build meter, but he won’t do damage, just build meter in his combo). Probably the only worthwhile DHC glitch involving Dante is using Thor’s command grab super.
Yeah, it was magneto Kinda sad to hear, but thank you for the quick reply.
(Will be dropping Doom for Dante some months from now. not ready yet)
Just checked the damage on a basic Magneto bnb with drones then Tempest dhc into Million Dollars does 1 million damage(who the heck needs a DHC glitch), while a “DHC glitch” with the same Magneto bnb using WB + GB + Drones does 600k max. So yeah basically just stick with Tempest DHC million dollars, it does pretty good damage, Million dollars does great damage overall. Capcom basically said, you can ignore this hitstun scaling, but we’ll let you have fun with this damage scaling.
Personally I’m a big fan of that team, and it was my theory optimal shell when I saw the new attraction/repulsion for Magneto, but I’m not a big fan of the big robot, I don’t like playing bad matchups where it’s an extremely uphill battle. One really cool thing about this team, is that you get to abuse the cheapest 50/50 ever, ending hypergrav combos into crH xx Replusion + Jam Session or Attraction + Drones, it’s a 50/50 left/right, then you get 3 high/low mixups. I might consider picking the team up afterall.
Dante is a pretty easy character to use and is pretty flow charty, other than the first week of grinding execution in the lab you’ll do fine with him, the character can flow chart derp it out all day by spazzing out projectiles at particular ranges and teleporting at certain moments(ie Acid Rain/Hysteric if they are superjumping, Crystal/ Kara Reverb when they are grounded or slowly approaching you, Drive/Airplay to zone, and Assist + Teleport, feeling uncomfortable, spend 1 bar and become a god with a 45 degree beam that links to itself and shits on zoning), + his pressure is pretty ridiculous, especially with those 2 assists.
DHC into Devil Trigger is usually not worth it unless you’re doing the thunderbolt loops after it.
It’s especially not worth it with that team, since Magneto has to skip his super to actually trigger the DHC glitch, and his super does around 200k in the corner.
