Yo momo excuse my scrubtastic question especially since you don’t use Sent anymore but ummm how do you land the followup to skydance with sent and dante.
Like skydance, beehive, call sent stinger revolver skydance. Whenever I do it the revolver hard knockdowns because sent doesn’t get there on time. I’m calling him as early as I think possible but is there a visual cue or anything for it like a more specific timing?
I usually call him during Stinger or like right before I Stinger. It’s pretty easy to time tbh. Just press 6H and the assist button at the same time and it should work.

guys, what are the most dmg and meter optimized shot loops? off volcano j.m j.h airplay j.h and volcano j.h airplay j.h s.h c.h for hammer followups. im too lazy to test this out, but im wondering because i need to maximize midscreen dmg without a wall or ground bounce for vergil DHC. also, hammer volcano j.s volcano TK revolver into loops does retarded damage… but i cant use it on either of my main teams (zero dante vergil/dante vergil magneto) so put it to good use for me
How do you play to end the shot loops with no wall bounce? I could see it working if you ran Sentinel or Strider but all I can see working with no ground bounce would probably be a shot loop ending with Reverb Fireworks Super.
yeah i have to use reverb, it sucks but w/e. im looking at doing like 5-6 reps of the loop but im too lazy to experiment with different amounts of shots, spacing, char specificness for the setups, etc. theres just no point in using bounces with dante when vergil will get like, 5x more damage out of them.

Yeah I see what you mean. I’m curious how many shots specifically will let you get the most relaunches without them slipping out too. I’ll test it sometime. It’s probably gonna be some random number.

BTW for anyone playing doom/sent I have 2 wonderful combos both doing a little over 790k and building 2 midscreen and 2.8 in corner. Not optimized but very easy to pull off with some practice.
Momo I’m using your thing with calling sent during shots and teleing combined with call doom volcano beehive :s: tk acid rain volcano jc :s: for plenty of meter gain and damage. Optimized they would both do over 800k and build over 2.3 and 3 meters.

It is assist required?, because the only way i can do that is with task vertical arrows, also if you are in the corner you could use Million Catarats instead of Revolver to save the ground bounce and does a bit more damage, but doing the loops after revolver is easier, what assist do you use in this?
It sadden me that all those combo extender doesn’t really change the scale of Dante’s combos. No chance to ToD with him any time soon… (unless he can get around 2 meter from combo)

Well if you sue devil trigger you can do 1,000,000 damage in one combo, also is not like every character can do 800,000 solo damage with one bar and staying meter positive.

I was searching for doing resets with dante using his airgrab , but a lot of the time it is impossible if you are too high, doom missiles solves this problem; if you cal the missiles at the same time as your last ground attack possible(s.S) super jump , hit with low medium or high double jump and airgrab, the missiles with hit them after your opponent touches the ground, so you can continue with j.S and do cold shower, etc, usually doing this can result in like a 1,000,000 damage at the cost of one bar, i think missiles maybe the only assist you can combo off a super jump airgrab.
Hi, I am looking for some easy or starter Dante combos. The ones on the front page were looking a bit complicated. I didnt learn how to bold cancel on a PS3 Controller until UMVC3 so I am having a bit trouble.

The only thing to say is just practice bold canceling. It is literally the most important thing for dante. Just do the day one ultimate combo in the corner until you can bc teleport and once you get the bc down you’ll be able to do almost every front page combos. Check the dante thread for advice on bold canceling and all that because the front pages combos are as easy as he gets.
1 Million damage from combo in DT? anything about it or just the B&B with the damage boost?
What about resets after the grapple move? I did a lil practice and you can hit a cr.:l: after a grapple which causes an air tech, you can then go for w/e shenanigans you want. I managed to get a dash under while the opponent was teching, so Im sure you can do shit like dash under assist call teleport to really mess with them. But also, since they are air teching so low to the ground it should allow dante to get a combo off his airthrow using a wider variety of assists.
