The cabinets did sell and the the money and profit have been reinvested in the community in the form of 3 versus city cabs to be placed throughout the midwest

Ill keep doin what I do and you keep enjoying the HYPER- MONETIZATION of a sub-culture.
Yeah, Matt. You figured it out. I’ve never reinvested in the community in any way shape or form, certainly not by spending over twice as much to put on UFGT8 as I did putting on UFGT7.
I appreciate your contributions (even though you do not appreciate mine); but you are really pissing me off and we are no longer on speaking terms. Good day.
You are currently attacking a man that just put on the finest tournament the FGC may have ever seen simply because he didn’t treat your multi-decades old title to a trophy? Thats vindictive and childish. What tournament in recent memory has treated ST like its a premium commodity in 2012? I love the game, but don’t act like it deserved some kind of heightened billing when it drew so few competitors that the entire tournament could functionally run on just 2 arcade cabs. Advanced prizing is decided by promotional worth, not just repeatedly beating Floe. If we were handing out trophies strictly on impressive game action than Dieminion deserves one and Chris G deserves 20 for going through an entire Marvel bracket without losing a round.
The emotional, social, and financial costs of putting on UFGT are impressive and Keits should be applauded for what was achieved - not stricken over petty gripes about victory prizes. The “official” side games still got medals, bracket TOs, and cash pots. For someone from the arcade era you should still view that as quality representation.
Keits for being a rad guy throwing rad fightman parties
Papa Keits for giving me real talk for my dumbass decisions during Kombat 21
Offcast for keeping that jeep ridin’
Chauncy for saving my voice with that clutch last minute halls
Sp00ky for being cool as hell whenever I wanted to shoot the shit
HOLOGRAM GOOTECKS
HallHawk for being funny as hell and recording my scrub ass casuals
Making it to loser’s finals of my SCV pool even though I hadn’t touched that game in months
Brightside for making me lose my damn voice yelling
the loudest funniest hypeman #TOSSIT
probably way more that I forgot, this event was several times more GDLK than UFGT7, I am already super pumped for UFGT9!
This event was amazing, no doubt about it. This is the sort of event that I will forever compare others to. Shoutouts to Chicago for being good in lots of stuff, and to all the players who came out making this event hype.
Gigantic props eternally given to Keits and staff, who made sure that UFGT8 was the best it could be.
Now that I’ve had time to catch up on sleep and work stuff has calmed down…
First, biggest of all shoutouts to Keits and staff for throwing the greatest tourney I’ve ever experienced. I didn’t know how you’d top UFGT7 but by Friday afternoon it was clear to me you had. Congrats, sir.
Shoutouts to Zansam, Flying V, King Of Bums. Always a good time to hang out with you guys.
Shoutouts to Divekick, because it’s Divekick.
Shoutouts to Chauncy and Jebailey whom I played in damn near EVERY pool.
Shoutouts to everyone in the pools I judged for being present and on time, except Chauncy.
Finally, shoutouts to Big Marcus who, despite his neanderthal exterior, was such a nice guy to my daughter all weekend.
Honestly, I was expecting to hang it up for a bit after UFGT8, but it’s only re-energized my competitive spirit. Thank you to everyone who made that happen.
ok…i wanna know what the hell is going on, so i was watching the rebroadcast of UFGT8 and i was watching a video of 4 hours or so, and suddenly it got stuck, so i refreshed…and the video turned from 4 hours into a 1 and a half hour video, and it wasnt split or anything the data that is missing has been wiped, the same thing happened to the Final Round rebroadcast, PowerUp, NCR, so i wanna know why is this happening?
