Mar - Thanks so much for the match-up help. That was my mission coming to this tournament and I have to say I feel much more confident vs. you. Hope you can make it to Cinci sometime soon. IMO you should come out for our DCC weekend and stay at Kyle’s!
Everyone that played or took interest in Vampire Savior - Thanks for the support. If you like this game we have plenty of resources up on dustloop.com and the VS facebook group. I hear too many people say the game is awesome and not actually play it. It’s not that difficult and incredibly fun, so stop spectating and start playing!
My 3rd Strike pool: So many close matches, although that one Chicago Ibuki lit me up (forgot who that was but you were damn good dude). So close to top 8, epic match of Humbag vs. Scumbag at the end there.
Finally all the staff that ran games and fun n’ games - Thanks so much for giving up your time and energy to make this weekend awesome. Balrog Ball and Divekick are great, and I wish they were at every tournament. You guys definitely have something awesome going on with your side-games, and I more than want to come back to Chicago next year to do this all over again.

I had coupons for staff. Staff breakfast was every morning at 8-8:30 just like normal. The “troll” coupons were the hotel accidentally giving the staff coupons to EVERY PERSON who checked in. They voided those after a day or two of that, but reprinted staff ones for me. All you had to do was show up or ask me about it.
“Official game” doesn’t mean it gets a super expensive trophy. It just means my staff runs the tournament. We did. I got medals for those tournaments. But the old stuff (tekken 6, st, vs, ex3, 3s) I did not buy gauntlets for. I never said I was buying gauntlets for them. I announced the exact list of games that got gauntlets months ago. There was no hidden information. Simply saying “so and so should get one” doesn’t change anything. The old games had very poor pre-reg numbers compared to the 8 games that got gauntlets, plain and simple.
Now, a question for you. Why are you being a dick about it? I appreciate you bringing your cabs out, but why are you talking to me this way? You think I need extra stress?
I’ll just announce ahead of time; if UFGT9 happens, no arcade ST or VS.
This really pisses me off. Why would you (zenblaster) think that because I offered to handle the more expensive thing for staff (hotel instead of venue fee) that I can magically afford another 6 gauntlets? Or why would you think that because those games were run by staff that they get the big trophy, despite nothing anywhere on the entire internet (and certainly not on my website) indicating so?
And were you just not in the ballroom when the hotel manager made the announcement about the breakfast coupon error? And if not, why did you decide to not ask me about it, and instead wait to say something snarky and rude over an internet forum?
Also announcing this; if I do another event, staff rooms are for sleeping only.
Guys, this isn’t the place for this. Please take it to PMs. This was a supremely successful event, there’s no need to bring it down by arguing fairly petty matters out in the open.
Well a little late to the party but to re-rail the thread I gotta give out my laundry list of shout outs:
