there is no question of what have you done for this scene, instead the question was meant to be more in the moment. Meaning, I was asking what have you been doing, and specifically I meant as of lately. Those questions were said to call out the part of you that I felt needed to be challenged. And they were questions about your character, not statements. Nobody here is going to deny the help that you are constantly willing to provide.
As for your first and only TW singles that is in question, it wasn’t the best of nights. Shit happens. Danny seeded the necessary players due to past turnouts, then set the rest of you guys to Tio. Danny has learned from that night the value of your high standards and I think he’s shown that he is willing to do better next time. He asked me to help him with the brackets next time since I have a lot of experience with running tourneys as well to ensure that things are smoother. It was only your guys’ first time showing up to the event, and as far as I know, this is Danny’s first time ever running a regular event.
In essence, I’ve really only been throwing around my 2 cents. What I think needs to happen is for us experienced players (the ones that everybody is gunning for) to come together and get a little more organized with our shit. All of this is a good thing. This is probably the first time in a while that the fellow ballers of this scene (Mickey, Deezo and Jason thus far) have made posts of any real length and high quality. Our shit is starting to grow even faster guys. Now I think it’s time that we came together and looked more closely at what the next steps are. Like you said Deezo, it’s up to us to do more for our community and scene. I think all of us have been doing our own thing, and staying strong at it.
Mickey has provided us with tons of competitive level game insight, and continues to find things to write about with SeattleVersus.

I’ve been holding bi-weekly gatherings at my place.
All of us and others too are doing good here. But I think we as the top dogs around here have been missing something important. We have been in our respective locations, giving ourselves to all of these new players on a regular basis. But when are we going to give more to ourselves? I’m not a fan of losing to players I know I can beat and if I’m ever going to lose in the NW, it better be to someone that will help me grow stronger. I think the scene will benefit if we put ourself in need of some serious competition. We as the top players of the NW need to find a way to be in the same fucking spot, and start giving each other the beat downs that we love and hate. If we start playing each other with a ferocious appetite, think of how much stronger we will become at providing for the rest of our scene. I think our scene needs for us to take a break from handing out free beat downs to beginning players. And for us to start gunning for one another. Where ever we are playing each other, the rest will follow. Let’s allow talent to speak for itself. Cuz that’s the other problem, everybody is doing too much talking around here, and not enough playing. I know that a lot more playing has happened because of TWs and all, but I’m talking about high quality playing. We need more of that shit.
Mickey, I’ve only played you at maybe 3 or 4 different occasions, and not long enough for you to get used to a real Nor Cal player.
Mandel, I felt it that night when I was beating down your Chun-Li how much of a painful blow I was giving your game. However, I know that you have not put the time in the game like I have, and I know that you would be a strong as fuck opponent if you were actually serious.
The Future is the one person that I actually get to play more regularly, but I know that you have been holding back from contributing more time to your game. I’ve exhausted this “Boxer is the Shoto Kryptonite” excuse and I’m going to turtle you right back. hehe.
Once Cole gets his shit together I’m sure that the Voodoo Magick will spark fire in his game again.
My point is, scenes can only be as strong as those who lead them. So now that the scene is really starting to get under way, let’s stop getting ahead of ourselves and focus on our desired tasks at hand.
I do my part for this scene by keeping things on the real as best I can. And on the real, there is nothing wrong with our scene, for everything is exactly where it’s supposed to be. I make it my job to eliminate negative talk and keep things positive. So let’s just continue on to the next level and focus on ourselves.

nope…It will be something that will always bother me after training in the military…it’s the basis of I can die for my country but god forbid I have a drink at night kind of logic that bothers me…if the gov really wanted to prevent alcohol related traffic incidents they should have made the drinking age 25 but no gov’t tax revenues would hurt to much for that…It’s a philosophical issue with me so if I’m 20 or 50 it will always bother me. I completely agree with what you’re saying. I actually had talks with Cole, Dugg, and Frank recently about my position in the scene along with what I can do and what I should be doing. Then to see you post what you did basically brings it full circle. But yeah I’ll most definitely talk with you about it more in depth at TW for sure as I kinda forgot what else I wanted to post lol. In addition to the fact that I have a killer headache right now ugh.
