How come the Karas didn’t reflect back the projectiles? Or can they cannot be bounced back?

right now aside from PTX and Lightan, it’s actually kinda hard to pick a worst character. Part of me wants to say it’s Yatterman, but I’ve seen him do some great things too.

PTX is not that bad either, but both of them have the worst counterpick problems in the game.
I mean, there are characters the flat out cannot compete against (Tekkaman etc)
Besides that, due to the nature of this game, I don’t think tiers really matter all that much for the simple reason that you are choosing two characters at once. It’s like everyone can win at this point with a bit of help from their partner.
Not only that, the giants just have too many disadvantaged match up to be called, “Good.” so to speak.
Right now, we’re basing character rankings off of match ups and misc stats. We dont have tourney data yet to be sure.
That’s what I was saying. the giants have more poor matchups than any other character, some which are almost hopless.
Still, ironically they can still be used to deal with common threats like Karas and Chun Li…
Perhaps Karas/Tekkaman teams will be more popular if people start trying to use the giants to counter Karas? (like that will ever happen)
I guess it’s true that even if you counter pick to fight a giant, you don’t have to sacrifice your entire character pick to beat them. You just have to put tekkaman as your partner to go with whoever your main is, that way after you beat their lightan, they can’t just switch to someone else and get an easy win on you since you’re not a tekkamain.
Just make sure to use them as counterpicks only if it’s the last match.
or as a counter-counterpick. I’m sure that if you start off with someone like Roll who has a hard time vs Karas, you can mindgame your opponent into picking him for the second match. but then he could always just pick a Karas/Tekkaman team. Blarg

Counterpicks make you do silly things. Once people really start to realize that Giants can counter karas, they’ll learn enough of them so that when they come across a karas player, than can use giants. UNLESS that Karas player has Tekkaman, they its just LOL.
But if there is no Tekkaman. People will pick up giants for just him, and then people will pick up Tekkaman for Giant counter-countering, etc etc.
I still find Karas to be an irritating match though. Wile he can’t kill you in two combos like Tekkaman can, if he gets his chain on you, it’s annoying to be thrown around.
If you dont think Alex can wiff punish, im not sure what game you are playing. Jump C is nutty fast and has super huge priority. Elbow rush, too. See some of the alex vids I posted last night.

LOL I’m not stupid enough to money match you in a new game where I have absolutely NO IDEA where I stand. I don’t even know if I’ll be playing this that long anyway, this game is turning retarded really fast. All the stupidness that’s being found out is just the total opposite of what I want in a fighter anyway. I like my games to be determined by skill and not by who gets the first hit with Karas . I’ll see how my matches vs. Karas (which I’m sure will be everyone there) go before I do any MM’s. Although I’m at least confident to know that I’m a lot more competent in this game than most would expect.
You seem awfully confident though, I like that. It’s people like you that make online fighting communities nice and fun. I look forward to meeting you although there will be no money match, at least not yet… heh heh.

Defensive options help against issues like, “who hits first with karas.” Plus its not like he’s unbeatable. He isnt. Best in the game or not.
The only real counter to Karas is Casshern SINS.
However he was rejected in this game in favour of the original (slow) Casshern due to him being way too emo and tragic for this game’s playful tone.
His level 3 was just a close-up dramatic pause followed by an outburst. It lasted about 20 seconds and didn’t do any damage. It was intended for stalling, but the game developers decided it was too cheap when playtesters threw down their controllers in frustration if it was used more than once in a match.
