I just feal like im wasting time playing fighting games, even though most of the time I get 2nd or 3rd. I have no one to play against, were as starcraft the only game im good at since ive been playing it for 7-8 years against people. Were fighting games im always going to be stuck at the same level never going to get better. Dont know if im going to go to bookmans anymore.
Well…dunno what to say dude. The real question is whether or not you have fun playing these games. If you focus only on winning and whether or not you are getting “better”, then yes…it’s going to eventually feel like a chore. If you think back to what drew you to these games in the first place, like appreciating the nice artwork, sprites and craftsmanship, then you may remember what you originally dug about these games.
If you only worry about winning…there is ALWAYS someone better than you out there.

Playing some completely new characters once in a while can help change things too.

I’m an “artificial” fighting game buff. I’ve only been playing fighting games for about a year and a half now on MAME (started out on alpha 3 and slowly moved to 3s as it was emulated)…but I’ve pretty much never gotten used a pad or a stick, just a keyboard. Combine that with next to no competetive experience, and it’s hard to do any good. Just give me some time, huh? :bgrin:
Me too. And FYI Steven plays all the fighting games I play (except for MOTW and Alpha) and then some. You should see him in SC2. He beasts, no joking.
Yeah, that guy is pretty good at Soul Calibur 2. I don’t know why he got 4th at that tourney that one time.

I will get there earlier for some casual as well, so if you want to get some of that in, please come. As long as your controller of choice matches the default layout (SQ,X,TR,O,R1,R2) you can use it.

Hey HundredHands, I just wanted to make sure that AC is still on for the 14th. I have a friend coming in all the way from Kansas for this, he’s been asking me every day if its still on haha.
I think its going to be on the Capcom Collection 2. AC can be worse since you cant pick old characters and down up charge moves dont work some times.

Also I’ve never had any trouble with SF:AC when it comes to charge moves, I’ve also heard that the CCC2 version has it’s share of problems.
SFAC has charge problems with Vega (claw)

Ya I tried to play Bison on SFAC but his charge down up moves are all fucked up.
