TrueBlood

I saw that Gotti, I just wanted to maybe try and expand on it a little bit. But if she wants Daphne to become another maenad, why did she kill the fake exorcism lady? Or, did someone else kill her

Well if you read those links, you’ll get a better understanding of Maryann and how she affects people in the show. You’ll also see that it’s evident that she’s the creature who attacked Sookie and Daphne. With the clues, it’s pretty obvious Maryann killed the exorcist lady. Why, I have no idea atm.

so at this point i’m assuming that daphne is the pig.
i still really wish they would show some type of interaction between mary ann and ANY vampire

also fucking barry lol
the best thing to do with that is to stfu before sookie loses her value

I think what’s happening is that Mary Ann killed the voodoo lady because she “pulled a fast one” on Tara. It’s like Mary Ann sees something in Tara and seems to get “protective” towards her in a twisted way.

LOL at comparing Jesus Christ to a Vampire. That’s what the Vampires in the Spawn comic believe, that he was the first Vampire. :lovin: Another great episode. Mary Anne was vibrating like crazy lol!

I laughed pretty hard at Jason wearing a clip-on.

Mary Anne was like “Oh Tara you can bounce I’m not holding you hostage or anything. It’s all good!” Then 5 or so scenes later she shows up the next day to throw a birthday party for her so she can do her standing rocking chair bit. TOO GOOD!

Oh another Greek reference. If I’m not mistaken Lafayette was watching Clash of the Titans heh!

She killed the exorcist lady to make Tara really vulnerable and fucked up inside so she can feed off her emotions. The bald headed dude is the monster I believe. But they wanted to kill sookie to make Tara REALLY jacked up, therefore homeboy comes in and they get down, and Mary Anne feeds off that. That’s also why she has alot of weed. Make them more calm and shit so she can get to them emotions better. Shes like a bottom feeder.

I love the hell outta this show.

Yea I think he was watching CLTT:lol:
What a nice little surprise for Sook towards the end of the episode…

Too bad I’ll be in Vegas this Sunday, so I’ll have to catch the new episode on the rebound.

BTW the end of that scene with Lafayette and Eric is one of the most random things in the history of forever.

That shit caught me off guard. I was like WTF…Laf is lunchin’. But now that means that Eric is going to use Laf to do something to Sookie. And speaking of Eric, is he suppose to be stronger than Bill? I really think Bill wants to take him out.

Eric is alot stronger than Bill. The older they get the stronger they get. Bill is less than 200 years old while Eric is over 1,000 years old.
Bill doesn’t really seem to be trying to take over he just isn’t afraid to push the line in situations where he probably should be, considering Eric could just jack sookie from him and legally be in the right due to their laws.

Nah Maryann is the monster. Near the end of the episode at her crib where everyone was getting naked and eating dirt, at one point when she’s raising her arms in the air her long 3 fingered claws came out when she was shaking. They looked exactly like the glimpse of the monster at the beginning of the previous episode when it attacked Sookie. Also check out those links in my other post #99. Looks like the part about “Maenads in later culture” has been edited. In the books Maryann’s name was Calisto who was the monster but the name was changed for the show.

I’m not certain if the pace of this season is doing it for me. Of course, like any show, the first season has a lot of reveals because no one knows anything yet. However, this season is really stringing us along in getting to the point. I know it’s still early but we finally find out what Maryann is and at the same time we still don’t know anything about her. And Jason? They are still stringing us along about him. We **know **he’s going to tap the preacher’s wife hard right? Just get to it already.

Not too much hate. Just nitpicking. I think the show is pretty interesting. And I’m someone who hasn’t read the books. If I read the books to it, I would stop watching this show most likely.

Sidenote: Remember, Erik still knows that Jason was possibly involved with Vampire Milton getting killed and that Jason is Sookie’s brother.

I was also thinking the pacing was a little odd.
It feels like the main plot (Sookie and Bill going to Dallas and Jason) is being drowned out by Mary Ann/Tara/Sam plus the subplots of Jessica and Lafayette.

Yeah I noticed that when I got done watching the ep. Damn Mary Anne is a…a bitch I guess…

Regarding the show’s plot pace–it is getting kind of ridiculous. I can understand the need to keep a measure of secrecy regarding who/what MaryAnn is, but c’mon. We’ve clearly seen the same shit over and over and over again–she feeds on people emotions. She vibrates. She’s clearly bad. And for some odd reason, they hammer these points in over and over, and refuse to reveal anything.

It’s just bad pacing. It’s like S2 of Haruhi, where they show the same thing happening for 4 episodes–EVERYTHING’S the same. Or S2 of Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles where John Henry was stuck in Urinator’s basement for half the season. Just sitting there.

It’s a good thing that Jason’s stint with the church is hilarious on all sorts of levels. And that everything with Eric/Bill/Sookie is equally funny.

I dont understand you guys about the pacing? I think there’s a lot more things going on this season. Unlike the first season it was pretty much Jason fucking, Sookie/Bill fighting, people randomly getting killed, & last episode oh shit that’s the one who’s killing everyone…
