If she ain’t a witch I don’t know what the fuck she is. That old lady with the black eyes freaked me the hell out, til the sherriff seizured on by. Kinda got nostalgiac for the x-files like she got hit by the black oil. And that mess that Marrianne does when she vibrates is just damned creepy.
And yes, Jessica is up there with Sookie for hottest cast member. She just needs to let loose soon. I can’t wait to see Bill beast on her pops too.

I think Mary Anne sent that bull thing after Sookie because Tara said she was invited to live with her. That bull might be that dude that cooks all of her food. Oh and it looks like the pig from last season has grown. My guess is it feeds off of people’s energy. Kind of like a reverse Circe thing? Man I dunno… I think Jason is gonna tap Church Wife lol!

Maenads, Maryann and Daphne

Maryanne is a Maenad, female followers of Dionysus. I found it on Wikipedia by going to the True Blood page then list of episodes on the right then clicking on season 2’s source book Living Dead in Dallas. Apparently the monster that attacked Sookie was Maryann a Maenad named Callisto in the book. The Maenad page says that in the book it’s named Callisto but in True Blood it was renamed Maryann.
Reading about the plots in the books, it seems as though the show is following it. I never read the books. As for Daphne I’m thinking she might be turned into a Maenad by Marynn. shrug I dunno.[/details]

I accidentally posted this in the MMA thread, and when I mean accident I mean I was looking at porn. But I was wondering what is the fascination Mary Ann has with Tara?
So…are we to understand Mary Ann is the monster?
As for the fascination: I’m gonna make a guess. In the SPOILERS preview for next week, the other guy who’s with Tara says he and Maryann like feed off other each other or something. So, does he feed off of Tara somehow, and then in turn Maryann feeds off him?
Tell you what, I think Mary Ann is just a cool character. I can’t remember ever being this much mystery over one character, with everyone trying to figure out their point.
