Hyped on tomorrow/today. Gettin the rust off my SSF4 skills atm haha. Do you need an extra tv, Kalvin? I can bring mine in case you were planning to use that laggy tv still. I’ll bring my copy of MvC3 but I think the majority of mvc3 players play on 360. I don’t mind people using my 360 stick either.
The lag is unnoticable when all the post processing turned off. I’ve played around with it since last time and found it to be pretty decent. I can pull off some tough links without any trouble on it. It shouldn’t be a problem like it was last time. TJ is bringing his TV over too. I had an offer for someone to bring their 50" plasma over, but I politely declined. 
My plan is to have the two casual setups in the living room, and the tournament setup in the kitchen. The tournament set up will have a PS3 and an Xbox hooked up, and I’m planning to have both games for each system, so that controller preference wont be a problem for anyone. The only problem I can see there being is someone who prefers an xbox controller needing to play someone who prefers a ps3 controller, which is a possibility with the wide range of players that will be in attendance. I know most people will prefer a stick, but I want to be able to accommodate as many people as I can for the games with money on the line. The casual set ups will both be on PS3’s.
The tournament schedule is not set in stone, but I was thinking of starting SSF4 at around 6:00 and MvC3 around 8:00. That can be changed if necessary in order to let as many people play as possible. But anyone can show up as early as 3:00 for some casual play.
Should i bring my stick? Sounds good i just hope there will still be food when i get there.

A majority of MvC3 players play on 360 and on pad so for their sake running Marvel on 360 would be best. How many PS3 players play it on pad because if there isn’t any Mike and I have 360 sticks they can use.
So Kalvin what do intend to do about the Marvel patch that came out today? Run the tournament pre-patch or post because there are some pretty significant changes to the gameplay. Sentinel and Spencer are notable.

Good games ppl. I realized that I am super rusty with Ryu and Kalvin is REALLY good at his ground game. Hope we can run a double elim sometime in the future to see how it’d really end up.

Thanks Mike. I was actually pretty disappointed with my play though. I wasn’t as focused on bringing my A game as I could have been. But it was still a lot of fun. I learned a lot about hosting a tournament, and I think I will be able to do a better job in the future. I see a lot of places where things could have been streamlined or organized better.
It turns out that issue with the screen randomly going wacko was tied to…the refrigerator. No joke. TJ and I were playing on it after everyone left, and it happened two more times, both times the INSTANT the refrigerator turned on. I’m not sure how that affected the set-up in that way, but I will do some experimenting to find a way to stop it. That was embarrassing.
Thank you everyone who showed up. The turnout was better than I expected. Congrats to the winners Cesar and Mike. You guys played awesome!
Replays will start trickling in soon. They take a while to upload, but I will get as much done in my spare time as I can. If anyone has requests for certain matches, let me know and I will give them priority.
Nice games indeed. And the food was off the chain! I pigged out! Ima try to go as much as I can to halls mvc3 sessions so I can practice ;).
Need more practice, need stronger makoto, need more bbq. That was fun next time ill try to get the day off so i wont be as tired. Good games and good job cesar and mike for killing the rest of us. Just kidding oh and a big thanks to kalvin for putting this together it was a cool night.
it was kinda cool playing round robin style as a first tourny. It was a good way to meet everyone and get to know their playing styles. can’t wait to see replays

Your game was actually really good. You would have been in the grand finals if you didn’t have to leave. 
As for the uploads, I have my computer set up to upload all day while I’m at work. I have a little less than half of marvel already uploaded, hopefully the rest will be done by the time I get home. I will post whatever I have tonight. As soon as marvel is all uploaded, I will start on SSF4.
